With the rise of battle Royale from games such as Fortnite, PUBG, Apex Legends, and evening Call of Duty now… it would be a fools decision to not include this feature in the new Halo Legends multiplayer.
Also, given the fact that Apex Legends won multiplayer game of the year, there’s a HUGE market waiting be tapped…

Firstly, there is already a topic for this.
Secondly, It’s already been confirmed that battle royale wont be in Halo Infinite so I don’t see much point in this, If you mean Halo should include it after Infinite then general discussion is better suited category for that.
Thirdly, mentioning Call of Duty as something Halo should follow is perhaps not the best approach.
And lastly, videogame awards shouldn’t be viewed as waypointers, true great games do their own thing & become the new thing rather than following the last year.
Now that those bases are mentioned, let’smove onto the topic itself.
It’s true that there are several games that include battle royale that currently are big games, however, as this indicates market it also indicates that the market would be shared by games focusing on that single gamemode.
Meaning that Halo really can’t compete with the current market by battle royale aspect without sacrificing it’s own trademark aspects by shifting focus from those to upkeeping battle royale as competitive aspect.
And as you mentioned, market is already full of these types of games, so it’s likely wiser to focus on making their own thing rather than jumping into an outdated trend. Halo shouldn’t jump on every bandwagon if it wishes to appear different from all the grey mesh that do the same things with each new trend, with only differences appearing to be the brand specific skins.
The only BR Halo is getting is the Battle Rifle, it’s not happening
