Who wants Halo 4 to go realistic graphics???

By that I mean, ditch the cartoony colorful graphics they have had before. And go for realistic graphics like we all see outside. The new trilogy is supposed to be different, so why had those kiddy colorful cartoony graphics again? I want it to look natural as realistic as they can get it on 360.

I think Halo 4 will have realistic graphics ( to compete with the other shooters), but you have to understand that this is a sci-fi shooter not a CoD or Battlefield, and plus does anyone really know how the future looks??

Halo was cartoony? since when?

> Halo was cartoony? since when?

Exactly.

The way it looks now. It’s not going to get anymore colorful then what it is now.

Ya your right…unless you go back to the sixties LOL.

You have got to be kidding me.

Simply said, no. I don’t want Halo to have realistic graphics. Seriously, everyone who says they don’t like the graphics of Halo because they are cartoony should grow up. There is really nothing “kiddy” about well executed colorful world. I don’t like Halo to be gray like every other game on the market, it really adds nothing to the game, especially if the game is like Halo.

Besides, the enviroment we see in real world is very dependant on where you are and what weather there is. If you look out of the window in November somewhere in northern parts of the world on a cloudy day, chances are you see a view right out of a modern FPS game. On the other hand, if you go to tropic, on a sunny day everything looks as colorful as the graphics of Halo 3.

So, realistic =/= grey. But should Halo look realistic? No, it’s a sci-fi game happening 500 years in the future. Sci-fi games just work much better with stylized graphics. Should Halo look darker then? Absolutely not, it adds nothing and looks boring. I want to keep seeing beautiful enviroments and skyboxes in the future, not seas of gray and brown.

Do some LSD. Things will get really colorful.

wow LOL

I loved Halo 3’s approach to art design, and Halo: Reach’s grittier feel. If only 343 could incorporate both designs into Halo 4. Give me that, and I’ll be surprised.

If it does. I’m done.

Halo: Reach looked awful.

Why not, why would Halo go back to looking like plastic toys.

No do not want an amazing graphics but no room for development on gameplay side.

Will be happy with the modern graphics as long as the gameplay is improved.

It’s a science fiction game. Expect much non-realism.

This, plus you are very right what was amazing in halo’s graphics was not realism but the vibrant and almost living environment and how they could move into a flood scene with dark and scary hallways that were huge like a dungeon.

As long as it looks better than Reach i’m fine.

Just because heads don’t explode and blood pours out all over the place doesn’t mean Halo is cartoony.
