If you get distracted by the outline system than that’s your problem and the “blinding shield glow”??
What??
Me and my friends like customizing our spartans to see who can make the best one, I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to just because you’re throwing a hissy fit that people like customization
The outlines make you hyper-visible. It’s like a giant blinking arrow pointing at you saying “look at me, I’m over here”. If someone sticks their toe out of cover from across the map it immediately draws the attention of every foe because it’s impossible to go unnoticed. And all the cosmetics you and your friends are wearing will never be noticed in game by opponents because they will be buried underneath the intense shield glow from take damage.
Somebody needs to work on their reading comprehension sigh
Says nothing about opponents noticing us, lol.
Besides, the opponents can see us just fine in the end screen. And once custom games come around, people will be able to see you just fine. I have no idea what intense shield glow you’re talking about, lol
MCC added color customization and it was great.
So you’re talking about character models, because “outlines” imply something else.
It’s actually much clearer to identify who’s friend or foe now than it ever has been
In some Halo titles the player model colors would work with various map color palettes allowing for a form of coin toss granted camouflage, in this game you can choose what the enemy looks like in any environment.
On top of that, whatever color you choose is guaranteed to be the enemy’s color no matter what. So there’s no mental games being played when you accidentally blast your red teammate when you’ve been on the blue team for 6 straight matches.
So you guys like to dress up for each other, good for you. I think outlines and shield glow ruin the game because it’s like training wheels for finding enemies. In mcc you could peak in at out of cover without being instantly noticed. In infinites btb you can see player from across the map that you have no business noticing. I don’t think “expressing myself “ it’s worth the negative impact on actual gameplay. Regardless, I think hyper-visibility is a bad thing, you don’t, so be it
I’m not even saying it’s “good” I’m saying it accomplishes the same thing as Red/Blue except now the player has control over the contrast/color palette.
You’re just looking for a reason to be adversarial at this point.
