Who thought Lightning Flag was a good idea?

I seriously want to know who approved this awful gametype.

I feel as if these so-called Community Managers or whoever puts these things on Matchmaking aren’t doing their jobs right.

Yeah the spawn killing on that game type is what makes it unplayable for me.

I find it an awesome game mode! :slight_smile:

It nods back to those who played unreal tournament as well.

I played Dodge ball in Halo 3 Action Sack, it was awesome. Reach also had a ton of cool and crazy Action Sack gamemodes, those really should’ve been in the game.

So far Action Sack in Halo 4 is just Team Slayer gametypes, not very actiony or sacky.

I’ve never played it. Whenever it comes up, I vote for it but not enough people vote for it with me.

If it’s a one-shot kill, I think that Autosentry would be pretty OP lol.

Not only in Action Sack though. Most of the playlists and game types in Halo 4 lack the creativity past Halos had mixed in with original game modes. What happened to 1 Flag, SHWATGUNS, SWAT Magnums, Assault, BTB Objective, Headhunter, Rocket Race, etc. These are just a few I can think of from the top of my head, but you get the idea.

I’d say, “Dude, it’s Action Sack.”…and then I realize past Action Sacks have had much neater gametypes.

Maybe if the rest of the game was fair and balanced you’d have a legitimate counter-argument there.

I agree with OP, even in terms of “whacky” playlists there is absolutely no reason for Lightning CTF to exist, at best it’s a playground for K/D boosters.

If action sack games didn’t count towards your overall k/d and win/losses then i’d be okay with just going on it to screw around with friends.

It’s different, and non-sensical fun. That’s what Action Sack is for, at least I thought…just go with the flow. I pretty much forever suck at Halo of all iterations, and I find it a hoot of run and gun taken to it’s ultimate extreme. Not everything has to be classic Halo, you have to have something against type (Not EVERYTHING 343, we are still on you for that :slight_smile:

I like the idea, but I don’t like/enjoy being spawn killed, or being killed after one step.

Usually I just bail in the pregame lobby once I’ve noticed its been voted in.

Lightning CTF is fun. I love to spawn camp. I also keep in mind what comes around goes around.

I love it, I’d rather play this any day than Dino Blasters -shrug-. I wish Halo 4’s Action Sack was more like the Halo 3 sorta Action Sack where it was like a custom game matchmaking.

I think it’s a fun game type but it’s not my bag baby.
