Who thinks we'll visit another Halo ring?

So we’ve got 3 major worlds to explore in the campaign.

The first is Meridian - A human occupied planet with places such as massive drilling rigs. This is where the multiplayer map “The Rig” comes from.

The second is Sanghelios - the Sangheili home world, 'nuff said.

The third is supposed to be a Forerunner world - unless it’s already been confirmed and I’m just stupid, I’m going to place my bets that we’re going to visit a Halo ring.

What do you guys think?

Well, they managed to squeeze one into Halo 4’s story… Barely. I think they’d want to keep them around, you know, since its called Halo, but I don’t see it happening without it being a minor Cameo like in H4. Considering that we’ve been to non-Halo Forerunner worlds int he past: Requiem and the Ark, I wouldn’t say right away that we’re going to a Halo. But if they can find a place for it in the story, sure why not.

No i don’t think we will see a Halo, this time it’s all on planets, space ships, space stations.

The rings and the Flood go hand and hand, so no Flood no need to go to a Halo.

You don’t think there’s a possibility that some Halo rings hold even more secrets than just the Flood?

The Guardians are Forerunner and the rings were made by Forerunners. That’s not any sort of evidence to prove that a ring will be in the game but the possibility is definitely there.

Halos were the end game of everything Forerunner so I wouldn’t assume that they don’t have some secrets, I would assume that most of those secrets likely are about the Flood.

To change direction what about all that Forerunner technology the Janus Key is supposed to locate? There are plenty of other Forerunner toys out in that big wide galaxy like those Guardians.

The Janus Key is still a pretty big mystery to me and I don’t know exactly what they are trying to do with that.

I’m sure there are many different Forerunner “installations” out there and I wouldn’t be surprised if there wasn’t a Halo ring in Halo 5 at all. I just feel that the possibility is there and it would be a pleasant surprise for a lot of fans.

From what I got out of Halo 4 it seems like every known Halo was UNSC occupied and it’s likely by H5G that they are all decommissioned

With the way they seem to emphasize travel/tracking. I do not doubt there will be a Halo ring. And it will probably be a teleportation deal.

I hope we’ll see a new Halo.
As the others said before that Halos probably hold some more secret than just Flood, I’m curios what secrets we would find on Halos. Sounds interesting that Halo 5 Guardians campaign is twice bigger than 4, so there is chance that we’ll see a new installation. But if we won’t I will be still happy with the other fascinating Forerunner tech, planets etc.
What a great universe Halo has!

Yes, we’ll probably blow it up.

I’m not expecting to spend time on a Halo ring in H5.

xDD
“Ohh look it’s another Halo!! With a lot of interesting Forerunner stuff. Better to blow up the -Yoink- out of it.”

I don’t think they would have found every halo ring. Each of the seven rings had a range of 25,000 light years, so some of the rings would have to be on the other end of the galaxy.

Wouldn’t the place with the Absolute Record be the third, Forerunner world in the campaign of Halo 5: Guardians?

It would be cool if it took place on a decommissioned Halo ring (prior to finding Master Chief, the Infinity’s job was to locate Halo rings and study them for decommission). I could see the Didact and/or the Warden Eternal trying to reactivate the ring towards the end of the game out of desperation/fear, then Blue and Osiris having to team up to stop it from happening.

The Ark?

I think it’d be cool. I liked that 4 put you close to one. It’d be nice to visit new ones.

Typical Chief…

Is this close enough to it being in-game?

I like being surprised, so I won’t really place a guess. But I think I’d be interested if another ring entered play.
