I play Halo 2 quite frequently and I have to say it’s a great game. My favourite campaign levels are Uprising and Delta Halo.
I personally think Halo 2 was the best Halo ever made. Campaign was perfect and I loved the Arbiter levels the most.
My favorite Campaign levels are probably Outskirts and Delta Halo. Loved the Campaign and Multiplayer.
My favorite levels had to be Delta Halo and Quarentine Zone.
Outskirts and Quarantine Zone
Halo 2 is awesome. Outskirts and The Arbiter are definitely my favorite Campaign missions. I loved feeling like I was part of a Covenant sqaud and working with the Grunts (and later Jackals and Hunters).
While CE had my favorite Campaign I still think Halo 2 is my Favorite of the Series.
I love Halo 2. My favorite singleplayer and multiplayer. I loved the Arbiter missions. Made it the most unique campaign in the series.
halo 2 was the best halo and I think they should remake halo like halo 2 where in the multiplayer you must find weapons on the map and use the map to win. Team tactical was fun and the best thing about halo 2 multiplayer was you were ranked on each game type. I don’t know why they stopped doing this and made it so easy for everyone to be equal with starting out with long range guns every spawn.
Yeah, Halo 2’s campaign was definitely by far the greatest.
I love what they did with the Covenant.
And for its time everything they did with online multiplayer was revolutionary.
Almost every mission I like in halo 2 plus Vandam’s mission.
Halo 2 is my favorite game of all time. Then CE and 3. Halo 2 had the greatest Xbox live online play of all time
Now, before anyone calls me out, attacks me, or labels me a troll, I’ll go right ahead and say that I think Halo 2 is a fun game. On the rare occasion that I play it, I can have fun with what it offers. That being said, Halo 2 is by far my least favourite in the franchise.
The campaign, while it does feature an abundance of story, has trouble holding my interest. The story came across as nothing more than a Hollywood action flik with some science fiction bits thrown in every now and again. The original Halo was heavily inspired by popular (and sometimes not so popular) science fiction franchises and books, and it showed. The whole game felt, first and foremost, like a science fiction game.
I enjoyed every enemy encounter in the original Combat Evolved as well, but I found very few battles in Halo 2 to be legitimately fun. Most of it, to me, just felt like busy work to keep me from one level to the next. The AI never felt as dynamic as it did in the original, and honestly I think my lack of enjoyment might have also come from there being way, way too many enemies and battles too often. I was almost always fighting and there were very few moments where I felt I could explore and soak in the atmosphere.
The multiplayer in Halo 2 is something people seem to adore and to this day there are plenty who contest it’s still the best. Now, I never played a ton of matchmaking online as I never had Xbox Live on my original Xbox, but I did play a lot of custom games with family and friends. When I got my Xbox 360 and an Xbox Live Gold Membership, I was finally able to play Halo 2. I downloaded the map packs and hopped online. While I wasn’t as good as most players, I still had a very good time being able to play online. However, despite the fun I had with this game’s multiplayer component, I still have some serious issues with it.
One of the more famous (albeit unintentional) aspects of Halo 2’s multiplayer were the button combos and other glitches. While plenty of you may argue they required skill to pull off, and indeed some may require a good set of fingers to regularly pull off, the fact that these exploits even existed, let alone that people used them in online matchmaking, was and still is something I was never a fan of. The use of a glitch/exploit to gain an upper hand over a player or players is in my eyes, and I’m hopeful you can understand my point of view, cheating.
As I said above, I have fun on the rare occasion I play Halo 2 and I’m by no means labeling it a bad game, but I do feel that it’s the weakest entry in the series. If you love it and think it’s the best, I’m glad you can enjoy it so much! Sadly though, it just doesn’t do it for me.
