Who the f*** said the carbine is UP?

I love this gun. I’ve been outshooting DMRs and BRs with it all weekend so I don’t know what all the fuss is about. I’ve also heard people complaining about it not being able to multikill…

I just had a game of infinity slayer with
-1 overkill
-2 triple kills
-4 double kills

Not to mention numerous games of Regicide with insane numbers of double kills with the Carbine, all thanks to it’s high RoF, not to mention it’s generous magazine size.

People aren’t giving the Carbine enough credit…it’s a beastly weapon, easily capable of out-gunning a DMR even across the map on Complex.

It’s an alright gun, but in-terms of kill times it goes like this.

  1. Light Rifle (Scoped)
  2. DMR
  3. Battle Rifle
  4. Carbine
  5. Light Rifle (Un-scoped)

Not to mention about double the shots to kill.

The problem with the Carbine is it takes too many shots to kill. It has the fastest kill time of all the precision rifles but its incredibly hard to achieve compared to the other 3 because of its shots to kill/spread. If they lowered the shots to kill by one it will become a much more useful weapon.

If you run into a group of enemies with even SLIGHTLY reduced shields and the dexterity perk, they’re all dead. No chance. This gun just mows down enemies like no tomorrow.

People who aren’t amazing with the weapon. It has one of the slowest kill times. I’ve used it before, but I got mostly assists with it. Just because you’re good with it doesn’t mean most people are.

Still, Carbine is the best rifle in my opinion. I just love high ROF.

If you have a great trigger finger, and you LOVE to no-scope, this is THE gun to use. It’s working its way up to my favorite Halo weapon.

I won’t be able to put it down after I’ve finished the commendation. my favourite by far. if it gets bumped in power no doubt it will be after I’ve got the commendation so know I hope it stays the same as it’s lethal in the right hands.

not to mention the players who can’t use it. people using dmrs on small maps really gets on my nerves.

I hate having to spam the trigger and then also trying to strafe at the same time with it.

The carbine does a great job if you take advantage of its strengths.

High rof and a large mag make it a good cleanup weapon as mentioned earlier in this thread.

If you are gifted at dodging/ outstrafing enemy fire it is a good weapon for suppressing fire.

However its less than adequate accuracy especially at longer range and relatively low damage per round make it quite difficult to compete with other rifles at long range.

Um it has the smallest mag of all the Primary rifles.

I dont think a Carbine has EVER beaten my DMR, BR or LR in a 1v1 close, meduim or long range battle.

mag size needs increasing. power does not. all the other rifles can kill two opponents from first to kill shot in one clip which is unbalanced… the carbon without dexterity takes an age to reload too
