This is a topic I hold close with opinions, but I still love to hear others thoughts. So here is the question, who should have Halo: MCC on a seasonal circuit? MLG? or ESL? Now there are many specific reasons I think ESL will be the lucky benfitiary of Halo eSports. But I’d like your opinion. Who do yo think should do it?
What are your many specific reasons why ESL will be the benfitiary for Halo eSports??
Also, MLG has been connected to Halo since the beginning. If they can continue with the support, exposure and the profit then they will be selected. Simple business 101.

i think esl mlg has become money hungry.
I personally hope ESL will be the winner. I think MLG isn’t what it used to be.

So I am going to quote what I posted on the HaloFollower forums so I don’t have to re-type it.
"There is a common question that has arised since the first tournament for MCC in gamescom. That question is who should host tournaments for Halo? ESL is a international tournament holder that holds games such as CS:GO, Battlefield 4, Dota 2, and more. MLG is a US prominant tournament holder that hosts mainly Call of Duty.
MLG has just announced its Season 1 tournament for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare that starts November 28th of this year. This is really all but conformation that halo will not be held on the MLG circuit this year. But Sundance DiGoivanni has said multiple times that if he could run Halo he would. So that brings up the question, if we had the choice who would we chose?
ESL One (there seasonal circuit) has opened up for one more game, this can be seen at www.esl-one.com/gate. They are yet to announce the game that will take that spot yet. But lets take a look here quick, ESL ran both the gamescom showdown and the pax prime showdown for MCC in partnership with www.twitch.tv . Also 343 has partnered with twitch for livestreaming support and more with the Halo Channel. www.mlg.tv is a direct competetor to Twitch as they are both popular livestreaming services. So if 343 has a partnership with Twitch and ESL livestreams there tournaments on Twitch, then why would Halo go to MLG?
To put this into perspective, ESL One back during the pax prime showdown or gamescom showdown (cant remember which) CS:GO got 400k viewers on Twitch. The Call of Duty Worlds on MLG only got around 200k views. Keep in mind that this is the biggest CoD event of the year, and the ESL One was just another tournament for them."
So those are my reasons why I belive ESL will pick up Halo.

i remember in halo 4s last MLG tounament we didn’t have chairs because we were put in a corner of the venue. the halo community made MLG what it is and they treat us like that, ESL lets see what they can do.

Agreed my friend! Btw how you liking the new site?

Haha, lets say no one likes them. But also they are not a “Seasonal” circuit holder. From my understanding.
- MLG and any other league don’t need to run the tournaments directly anymore. 343 should be like Valve and Riot Games and even Blizzard, run the tournaments themsevles and dictate the rules.

That is also a very good idea! If 343 could do what Riot does with League that would be best case scenario!
ESL is more console focused though. I think if PGL got a larger following it would be a good runner. I just hope they figure something out. If there is not a main company running tournaments than the competitive scene for Halo will die again. There are a few ladders open atm but as far as large scale tournaments, we will just have to see I guess?
I would be happy if any decent company picks Halo up or even if 343 decide to make their own tournaments. All that needs to happen is for us the fans, to support and make the competitive halo scene bigger and then everyone will want to pick us up
ESL. I do not like MLG anymore… They changed and went dark.
