I just keep seeing: after Halo 6 343i is going to close, in Halo 6 John 117 will die, after Halo 6… who said Halo 6 is going to be the end?
Halo4 is the start of a new trilogy. Trilogies contain 3 movies, games, or books. So there will be a Halo6 but it was not announced that it would be the end.

In all likelihood it will be the end of the Master Chief’s story but not the end of Halo and not necessarily the last game with the Master Chief. Halo 6 will, I believe, be the last game to star the MC in the Halo timeline but he will likely appear in prequels. There will also probably be a number of side stories and smaller series set within the Halo series as well. This is all obviously just my opinion.

of course halo will never end. sure, the chapter on john 177 and cortana may come to a close, but the halo universe is just so huge that 343i will surely continue exploring other stories in it for some time to come. As long as halo is annualized and the quality is there with each release, I’m so down for it.
It needs to end sometime. Stories that just keep going, and going, and going. it does get annoying after a while and it just needs to end
I don’t see it being the end of Halo, but I see it being the end of Master Chief’s story. We’ll probably see a different story arc, or some other spin off titles.
Halo is here for a while. It’s like the equivalent of Star Wars or Mario, so I don’t understand why people say that Halo needs to die. Successful franchises never die and I’d be sad if they did. Even though I’ve grown out of my Star Wars phase and don’t care for it much anymore, I’d be sad if it’s universe died. I play franchises that I played from my childhood today, say Zelda for example, and still love them. I expect to be playing Halo another 15 years from now.
In halo 6, the chief will be presumed dead but still be alive. Que the dramatic revalation of a brand new halo trilogy: Halo 7-Halo 9! Also the remake of Halo 3 will be out that year too.
By the time Halo 6 comes out, CoD 49 will have been out for a couple of years, so I have nothing against more Halo games after that.
Just with CoD: if they’re good, I’ll continue to play them. If not, hey, someone else will.

I hope they make lots of halo games. I love them and I hope they make loads. Who cares if they make loads once there’s new features, game modes and graphics in each one? Then it wouldn’t be ‘doing a CoD’ on it.
