Who’s paying for a copy Vs. game pass??

Are many of you paying for copy of Halo Infinite when it releases?? And are there any advantages??

We all know it drops into game pass on Day 1 but I would never mind actually buying a copy of Halo (digital or physical disk) because I know I will get my moneys worth.

thoughts?

Paid for my digital version already

Game Pass isn’t free though.

I guess mines a digital download that comes with the console.

Doing both.

I’m getting it on Game Pass since there is no limited edition. I wouldn’t say it’s free, just a hell of a load cheaper when considering all the other games I’m getting on Game Pass too.

I’m not paying $60 or $70 for an incomplete campaign that doesn’t even have full functionality. Gamepass 100%.

Yes sorry… not free but game pass edition.
I guess I was wondering if there are any advantages/ bonuses etc in buying a copy??

cheers guys

Yeah that’s a fair point for sure :+1:

This game is not worth the price with all the missing features and all the “post launch” talk and promises. Honestly if it wasn’t for gamepass I can see this being the first Halo I actually skip, because these guys won’t get my money for this game.

I don’t mean to be a downer, but with everything new they show about the game I just see them digging a deeper and deeper hole. I haven’t heard any real good news since the tech test, every little good thing has been pushed back by more and more disappointment imo.

I’m kinda waiting to find out what the difference is going to be between the gamepass version and the paid version.

The biggest known benefit for paying is that you can play it while offline, but my old room mate and I still have our libraries linked in such a way that we share digital titles, but we can only get to them with an active internet connection anyway, so I dunno what I’m going to do.

My plan was to pre order soon and make it a day one purchase done deal, just to support the dev team. But in light of recent news, I might just end up riding it through game pass for a while. If they announce some additional features in the coming months I might change my mind, but I’ve been more disappointed than hyped recently.

Going to buy the game itself.

Since I have Gamepass, I’ll probably get it from there. But if it ever drops off of Gamepass (doubt it will) then I’ll buy a normal copy.

Neither

why would i pay for gamepass, the ONLY game on it i would play would be infinite and i will be playing the campaign far longer then i would the multiplayer.

lets take halo 3, it came out in 2007 and still play its campaign to this day. (i play the others aswell but im using halo 3 as a reference) thats 14years
now lets say i pay for gamepass for 14 years, well now i have paid $1,680 (($10/month * 12 months) * 14 years) to play one game. again you can use any halo game but the point is after 6 months i am paying more for the gamepass then i would have if i bought the game.

If you have the time or want to play more then just the one game from gamepass then it might be worth it but for me its not.

I have game pass already, but I might buy a launch copy as well. Support the Devs.

I stopped my game pass subscription the other month and I’ve already paid for the digital version of Halo Infinite.

Bring on December 8th

The only thing missing from the campaign is co-op. Forge is expected to be part of the free to play multiplayer. So I’m not sure what all the missing features you are talking about are other than co-op. That’s the only thing missing from the $60 price tag that would go with it.

I understand your frustration because I’m not happy about the missing features either. I just don’t see what other features your talking about that would make the game warrant a purchase.

If I decide to play Halo Infinite it will be on game pass.

GAMEPASS
Because I’m not paying $100 for a campaign when the multiplayer is free.
Also I’ll probably only play campaign a couple of times.
