who noticed the socom pistol for the new update?

In one of the pictures recently showed off for the upcoming update there is a Spartan in classic air assault armor holding what appears to be the SOCOM pistol from halo 3 odst

After looking at it I noticed something interesting. In halo 3 odst the pistol seemed to be the regular halo 2 magnum with a modification on the front end. This version seems to have the same modifications done to a halo 5 style magnum. Not a really important point, but it is interesting.

I would hate if this is considered the other new weapon because that means that we get SOCOM mag, gunfight mag, and then the hunter cannon

Yeah it looks sick, hoping it’s already in forge with all the new reqs as well as the rest of the reqs that weren’t added last time.

I’m pretty sure. Notice that this one has the laser sight under the barrel and the trigger guard.

Maybe it’s a new kind of Socom like the M6H/SOCOM

I think it’s a variant of the normal M6H, since it has the hand guard. The gunfighter doesn’t.

Id say it was a normal magnum with the new sound dampener attachment.

So yea I guess this would be the SOCOM, I wouldn’t expect it to be much different from the Halo 5 pistol tho, it just now has a suppressor.

Actually, the ODST pistol was the Halo 2 Magnum with the front modification.

That looks like the Halo 2 M6C PDWS and the ODST /SOCOM variant.

If so we have another returning classic!

Thanks for pointing this out. It should be fixed in the original post
