Who Needs Them? the achievement for completing The Ark level from Halo 3 on Legendary without entering a vehicle is currently glitched and unobtainable. No one has been able to unlock it since April 21st.
Yup I can confirm the above did this couple days ago with two buddy’s me and one killed everything while the other didn’t even move let alone get in a vehicle and no achivement popped for him. I no how to do the achievement as me and my other buddy already have it so it’s definitely broken please could you look into this Asap

This achievement is absolutely glitched. On TrueAchievements there’s a thread for one of the guides and we talk about different ways we’ve tried to get the thing to unlock (unsuccessfully). I’ll put that here:
Here’s a link to show people who have unlocked it. Change the sort order to sort by the date it was unlocked and you’ll see that the last one is on April 20th. Which is the exact same day 343 gave us an update for MCC.

Any word on the other campaign bugs and glitches that have been around since the beginning? Ie: Campaign crashes in both single player and online co-op in specific areas, de-syncing in online co-op, frame rate issues on Halo 3 in co-op, playlist skipping missions or playlist crashes, etc. Any eta on when those issues will be fixed?
ShadowOfLabel the Great wants his achievement. ShadowOfLabel has tried many times. No pop ups for achievement. ShadowOfLabel demands tribute!
A possible workaround from user IDARIK SHAIDOW at TrueAchievements:
“This achievement is still obtainable. I was able to get it recently by uninstalling the game, resetting my Xbox, disconnecting it fully from the internet (I unplugged the Ethernet cable), and reinstalled it using the disc copy of the game. The patch that broke this achievement couldn’t download since I was offline. After I did the requirements for the achievement, I went online right away and it unlocked before I was prompt to start the update.”
Obviously, this just skirts the real issue and is only available to disc owners (possibly), but if you guys really want the achievement now you can do it this way.
You can still get the achievement. Uninstall Halo MCC, then boot it back up offline. Complete The Ark Legendary no vehicles and connect to Live. Achievement will pop. Then update Halo to its current state. I confirm this works.
Any update on whether this will be fixed in the next patch or not?
For real like I’m getting really mad. Like is it that hard to fix one unobtainable achivement? Pls fix.
Just tried it today and didn’t work. How is this still glitched after 4 months!!! It’s pathetic!!

Tried who needs them achievement on Friday and today didn’t unlock for me hope it’s gets sorted soon.
I’m glad I’m not the only one having issues with achievements not unlocking.
