Who moved my (Master) Cheese?

You’re all smart people, so please can you clarify:

  1. what defines Halo to you? What elements of Halo do you think should remain constant across releases, and when did you realise this?

  2. why is change bad? If a game adopts and adapts from other games, and adds its own new ideas, it’s aiming to be best-of-breed. How are we losing out?
