Bungie had their issues, but none like this code thing where players are unable to play without losing xp from commendations, or waste double xp games that they paid extra money for. If we are going to play call of halo, the game should at least work properly at all times no ? I get the daily xp cap thing, makes sense…but a level cap ? Plain ridiculous if you ask me. Offering in game advantage to those who paid more ? Absurd. L.E. was limited quantity per store, I had the money, was willing to spend it and more…there just weren’t any copies left in the pre-order. Because this is an anti-343i thread, it will most likely be deleted by a mod right away, but I think they should let it ride, and see what people feel of their new game, and way of doing things…opinions ?

OMG! I miss Bungie like crazy! I miss the double Exp weekends, the Infection, and many more things. The only reason why I kinda dislike 343 is because of this code issue. I may be stuck at SR 70 forever :(. I emailed Xbox support about this issue because even though I live in USA, I did not receive the code. Bungie would never do something like that. Plus I miss Bungie Day in Halo 3. I won recon that day

The main thing I miss that Bungie put in their games, would be the Misc. chatter between Marines and Covenant.

Halo 3 Grunt: I WISH I WAS BACK ON THE FOOD NIPPLE
Halo 2 Grunt: If we stand here any longer, we be on date!
Halo 3 Marine: Your undressing me with your eyes, arnt you? Sick freak.
Halo 3 ODST-Buck: HEAT IN THE PIPE, Thats what she said!

good times…

yeah, Bungie only made Halo Reach, a game that went against the Halo canon at many points (and before you say anyhing I have read the books which came out YEARS before the game), unlikeable charecters (all of Noble team, Maranda Keys, Lord Hood), the list goes on.

Found them!

You’re welcome.

I kinda miss Bungie behind Halo but I want to see what other games they can make. I really want a-game-codenamed-Destiny to become a game changer like Halo was.

Also they did piss off a lot of people with Reach conflicting with The Fall of Reach book.

I sure do which is why I’m just gonna go back over there to Bungie and wait for their new project “Destiny”. I love Bungie. They did it right.

I do miss Bungie’s original designs (Reach, in my opinion, had the best Covenant designs out of the whole series) and Marty, but 343 is certainly better at presentation.

> Also they did piss off a lot of people with Reach conflicting with The Fall of Reach book.

Halo Wars, ODST, The Cole Protocol, and Contact Harvest ALL conflicted with The Fall of Reach before Halo: Reach was even released.

Thanks for the heads up about that last night in one of my threads. I am already reading up on it and starting to go back, I’ll go back completely if 343 doesn’t fix their attitude.

I think we can easily call it, a mistake.

I don’t miss Reach, if that’s the question. Halo 4 has the scale of Halo 3 and the pacing of Halo 2. It also incorporated the only few things from Reach that were actually redeemable. What I miss is when playing the game meant just that. Now it’s all these complaints about not getting perks or experience. I think one of the biggest reasons that Custom games died off over the last three games since Halo 2 was because experience and challenges and commendations were added, and they can only be grabbed in Matchmaking.

You aren’t capped forever. They aid they would slowly release them.

I miss Bungie, for sure. But if 343i can fix their -Yoink- and actually respond to the community by fixing many of the stupid issues that plague this game, they might still pull this game out of the toilet.

LOL…Bungie made all the halos with reach being their last. They were in the franchise for 10 years. during the first game they were a part of ms studios, then got their own name “bungie” if I have it correct. The reason the number “7” became so big with them is because it was the date they became independent from ms.

You are certainly welcome, I’m glad I’m letting people know about this stuff! Hope Bungie does a Beta for it.

better question, who doesn’t miss bungie? lol

bungie was in the halo game from the start, 343i just needs time to catch on.

Of all the things with H4 that I don’t like and think this far Bungie would have done better, I have to say the one thing 343i really really lacks is POLISH. This game just feels so jumbled and unpolished it just takes me out of the experience all the time.

Having relistened to old Bungie podcasts, (I enjoy their banter) I listen to Timmins talk about, even with reach with its net code “we have to make this better, we have to.” I don’t feel like 343 even cared. It was all about intial flashy concepts and presentation, but it seems most of it was paper thin by comparison.

I realize its their first game but I feel like even Halo 1 had better polish than this game. I mean come on, it’s not like 343 just hired people right off the street. They were all experinced. Though it certainly doesn’t seem like it in most respects.

I don’t miss Bungie, but I don’t appreciate what 343i has done. I say I don’t miss Bungie because I do not know what they would have done if they made Halo 4. If they had made a game more faithful to Halo 3 than Reach was, that is, balanced, then I would miss them. However, if they made a game more similar to Reach than to Halo 3, I would veiw Bungie in a darker light than I do 343i now.

The moment a company cares more about its revenue than the quality of its products, the worse its products will become, as far as arts and entertainment go, anyway. Just look at movies these days. I have not seen an interesting or innovative movie for several years now. Movies are turning into -Yoink!--and-gore filled crap not worth my time. There are some convetional movies, however, that are all right, such as The Avengers or Batman…thingummy, but nothing that blows my mind; nothing worth more than a five dollar ticket. That is the path that videogames are taking, and it is a very sad one indeed.

2010-2011: MY GOD BUNGIE HALO REACH IZ DA WURRSSSTT HALOO EVARRR111!!!
2012: 343 INDUSTRIEZZZZ SUUUUUUKKKKKKKK BUNGIEE R DA BEST

Negative. Before Bungie signed up with MS, they were Bungie. They made games like Pathways into Darkness, Marathon, and Myth. They were already working on Halo when they signed up with MS.
