Who Loves The Unggoy or otherwise known the unsc as the grunts ?
The grunts were the best in Halo 1 with the voices. But they are hilarious even still. Not so much what they say now cuz’ it isn’t in english, but the way they act.
I want my ducky the grunt back…
I liked the Grunts better when they spoke english with their high pitched voices and hilarious phrases.
Were they real, I would truly feel sorry for the munchkins, as
they are little better than comedy relief in the series. They
are slow, pudgy, awkward, dim, fumbling incompetents.
Collectively as a species, they are “winded asthmatics” who are
without spine and soft-chested.
I suspect the designers intentionally made the munchkins so
laughably pathetic as to rouse pity in the player.
Does this pity stop me from slitting their throats or gooshing
their brains with my knife when I catch them sleeping on guard
duty . . .?
Nope . . . as I mentioned, they are a pathetic bunch. I have no
pity for them in the slightest once I have donned my armor and
am “in character”. No pity for them out of characer, either. It
seems more insulting that the human race is losing the war in
the context of the story when these things form the bulk of the
enemy’s forces.
Honestly, as an Infantry Veteran, I also take offense at the
fact they are called “Grunts”.
A Grunt can hack anything the enemy can throw at him, chew it
up and spit it back in their face.
The munchkins cannot fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
While occasionally funny, the fact they spoke english originally
“broke” my suspension of disbelief. Always found it annoying.
Please note, this is only my opinion.

I love the Grunts, I even started a Grunt-themed clan.
I liked when they were cute and had high-pitched voices. . .
But then in Halo 3, they became ugly. . .
And then in Halo: Reach, they lost their high-pitched voices. . .
And the Halo 4 Grunts just look like the Locust from Gears of War (I call them Grunts of War).
My favorite Grunts are definitely the Halo 2 Grunts, cause they were the funniest in that game.

Grunt Birthday Party NEVER gets old! (YAY!) They’re definitely the funniest enemy. What other enemy gets scared and just runs away screaming? I really hope they speak English again in Halo 4. Reach made IWHBYD kinda pointless. If Halo 4 has Grunts speaking English again and IWHBYD, I think it’ll be the perfect game.
Dumb question… Rather ask , who doesnt love grunts!!!

The grunts where the best i halo 2. There attacking the mc they say are you the arbiter
They were hilarious and one of my favorite covenant races just for that. Loved to see them run away or towards me when I killed their elite leader. Only part I dislike about them is the suicidal plasma grenade run, they seem to always walk faster than I did.
