Just looking for a census. Frankly, if I’m put into a game with Stalker or Mangler I just don’t bother playing unless I need to for a challenge.

What is wrong with the Stalker? It is deadly accurate, with a sniper scope, and reloads fast.

The problem is I can’t aim for crap with it even after practice lmfao I try my best but honestly I spend most of the match trying not to hand the other team corpses 
Give me a mangler or a sidekick and I’ll do alright but I’d really still prefer they went back to a BR-only playlist, and added a ‘swat variants’ playlist alongside for those who actually like to play the variants all the time. I really miss just playing br tactical for a long stretch

I much prefer the BR and wish it was on its own or weighted more heavily so you got BRs every other match.
The other options are growing on me though - the commando more slowly.
Someone had posted that they looked at it as practice with the other weapons so I’m trying to do the same.
I would be more than happy to just have BRs though.

Commando SWAT is not bad, but I’m always gonna be the BR SWAT guy

I absolutely detest swat in every Halo game except 3. Probably because of the BR’s slower, more reactable projectiles.
That said, in Infinite, I think the Commando surprisingly made me like a swat mode more than usual.
Most people really suck with the Commando, as it’s headshots aren’t free and people’s aim gets thrown off easily with it.
Actually, I think my favorite SWAT variant in Infinite is the Stalker Rifle version… Love the BRs and that’ll always be the classic, but the Stalker Rifle is just a ton of fun to use.
I don’t really dislike any of the SWAT modes. Commando and Mangler are the weakest, but I’ve still had a lot or fun with those too.
As long is it’s not Sidekick, I’m OK. I’m far from a good player, but I feel fairly comfortable with all the weapons… except Sidekick. I just can’t seem to get the kills with it 
Feel like the aim assist on the stalker is the most punishing but I like all of the modes tbh - classic BR is still great but actually love commando Swat.
I prefer stalker rifles out of all of them. I find it to be a more pure swat style than even the BR. One shot, low aim assist. The BR has very high aim assist and you get three chances with each trigger pull. Stalker has a much higher skill ceiling, whereas I feel like BR swat is more about who has the server advantage.
Sidekick is just an RnG spammy bloom fest.
I do like manglers, but it is a totally different kind of game.

The main word is SNIPER. They belong in a SNIPER game, not Swat…
If you’re going to FORCE us to use these variants instead f a separate playlist, then at least do a 6-1 or better weighing for the BR’s. I personally HATE the variants and they are unlike any variants they have put into swat in past games. Halo 5 has a great weapon rotation.

Disagree, you don’t need the scope.
I don’t particularly care for the commando or stalker variants. I think Manglers is a fun diversion every few games. Where I do agree with most people is that the list needs to be more heavily weighted towards the classic BR mode. In case it’s not possible to give different weighting to map/mode combinations in the playlist it might be possible by restricting the novelty modes to one map a week.
E.g.
BRs on all maps
Manglers - only on Live Fire
Stalkers - only on Launch Site
Pistols - only on Recharge
Commandos - only on Bazaar
And the next week you switch the variety modes to other maps.
The game likely won’t be able to sustain any more playlists than it has right now. Only way out of that would likely be to add an MCC style Match Composer. Aside from that you could of course relegate those modes to be weekend additions or events.

I kinda like the Mangler. From the list it isn’t the weapon I’m strongest with, not by a long shot, but I find the matches just decend into pure anarchy and are usually pretty entertaining.
Feels weird to use on PC. There’s something about the Snipers in this game that just don’t feel right.

I like Stalkers and Sidekicks in addition to BR to mix things up. Commando and Mangler are rubbish.
kind of off subject but do you think Tactical (Swat) would work outside of Slayer BR start and only Sidekick, Stalker, Mangler, Commando are available throughout the map. Pretty much Tactical Oddball, Or Tactical CTF Tactical Stronghold, Tactical Attrition. You can include power weapons and equipment.
