So as well know people quitting in Halo or any game for that matter will always be present. No way to stop it. But who’s tired of join in progress? I mean I understand why it’s there but there are many times I’ll solo que BTB just to get a few matches before I get off to be put in a ctf game where the team already grabbed flags and my team is unsalavagable. So all I can do is kill and stay alive. Any one else feel that way?
I don’t really like it, but I do recognize it is necessary. Matches would be much much worse without JIP. I just wish they would offer more compensation for joining into a uphill battle like extra EXP or for the loss to not count.
I like JIP because it means if a random teammate leaves, one of the people that solo queues might fill the spot. As someone who never solo queues BTB its nothing but a positive gain for me. I can’t even remember the last time I was JIPd into a match.

Haha I guess sadly my group stopped playing halo but I can’t give it up I love halo too much. I’ll find new people though but for the ones that solo que it’s a nightmare

I can’t remember One time where I joined a match in progress and I was happy
I don’t mind it BUT it really should be able to be turned on and off if we choose too. I absolutely hate JIP when I use a legendary boost, especially something like AI kills, and join half way through a match. So I really have to just target AIs to really make sure I get the boost when other players have half a game head start.
It isn’t a bad thing. I think that the game shouldn’t count as a loss though because sometimes it’s impossible to win the game
I only like it in firefight because I don’t like that mode much but I need the daily win packs and XP.
I myself personally cant stand it . And really I steer clear of any play list that has it. Ive tried it and see the logic behind it but it doesn’t work. Even when starting with a full team and then having players drop out and others join in the game there seems to be a performance hitch with players leaving and joining. I want nothing to do with that… The performance of the game is impacted to much and that’s a no no to me… If they could clean up some of these issues I would probably play a bit more of it but even then it would be a hard sell to me.

At first glance I hate the idea of letting people decide whether or not they want to be a part of the JiP process. But after thinking about it… sure, why not? As long as people who allow it get double the req points and a loss doesn’t count on their service record, or something along those lines? You know? Make it worth their while. How hard would that be?
I solo queue 99% of the time, so I can’t stand it (:

I don’t think they should get double. Me personally if I had the option I would opt out of it every time. It sucks to join a match half way through especially if the enemy team is tanking on your team

Yeah not double but some sort of RP/XP bonus possibly. But I think it should be optional just from where the game should be evolved to but is not because less functions equals more profit. This isn’t just Halo but games all around give us less for our money. For example Reach, now I wasn’t a fan of Reach’s gameplay but look at how much we could do with that game. We had campaign matchmaking, firefight online/offline and matchmaking. Not to mention the customization of it’s firefight was crazy. We had multiplayer matchmaking parameters we could set for type of players we were trying to match with. We have more powerful consoles but less game features.

I feel devs these days just wanna push games out due to pressure from the community. It seems a new big game comes out every other month when it use to be every year. Plus focusing on the graphics and look of the game. Most fun old games had so many quirks in them. Now I don’t mind a beautiful polished game but not in the place of good gameplay

I don’t think it’s because of the gamers. We are victims of our own success. Once gaming started generating the money it did, CEOs and CFOs who don’t care about well polished games and what not. It became how little or easy content can we produce to maximize profit.
I don’t like JIP at all. I understand why it’s in, but personally I think there should be an on/off option or something. For people who say you can’t have that option as everyone would put it to off, then to that I say, well that should tell you something then… that the current system is very poor.
JIP system should work something like this,
It’s on in soical (which includes anything Warzone) and when it connects you to a game that is in progress, you get to preview the match frist before it joins you. Then if you decide to join the match and you finish it, you get a 10% more experience and REQ points (on top of what you would of gotten normally) for your first match of the day. If you get a second JIP game you get 20% more, a third one, you get 30% more. Every JIP game you get in after 3 is still only 30% more.
In Ranked it’s off (obviously) but, if you get disconnected (which unfortunately happens too often for too many people) you and you alone, should be able to rejoin that match in a reasonable amount of time. Either by getting an invite from someone on your fireteam or by you clicking on someone from your fireteam (if there on your friends list or something) and rejoining that way.
That’s how JIP should work I think or something along these lines.

I don’t know why they don’t have a rejoin option. Most games have it these days where you can join back if you disconnect

That as well but I see two sides the one you spoke of and the one I did. Where they need to reach the deadline and push a broken game. Sonic boom is an example to that and not the only one. I could say that about destiny but I’d rather not get into that
For the most part I don’t mind jip except if it’s a WZ then I usually get frustrated with the system.

The premise is good, but only if the game is early.Being thrown into a game which is on the verge of being over is very frustrating
