Since we can choose Plasma Grenades over Frags with loadouts, I’m wondering who’s actually going to use Frags anymore. Plasmas kill with a single grenade from the ground, and have the potential to stick players for a guaranteed kill which usually results in the sticker’s death 90% of the time, at least for me. Frags can’t kill a player at full shields and have a little bit of bounciness in comparison to Plasmas.
I’ll be picking frags as you can’t bounce stickie nades. Sure you can stick people, that’s cool but i think it’s more satisfying to bounce nades for a montage worthy kill.
Grenade traps can work with stickies but frags have more utility IMO.
Why wouldn’t you? The bounciness of the frags doesn’t make that much of a difference. Definitely not enough to make up for the guaranteed kill of a plasma. They don’t even have to stick people for the kill. A plasma on the ground will 1sk someone.
well considering the hardlight shield id have atleast one class with frags to bounce under them. plus the resupply “perk” only works on frags. frags can bounce and have a bigger radius. if you don’t stick the player they will most likely live from a sticky.
I find frags to be more useful in certain situations. You can bounce the nade off a wall to get it in a room where there is potentially a sword/shotgun camper so you can actually make him leave that particular spot. Also, bouncing frags and finishing them off with the BR will just be more satisfying. I can always just pick up plasmas on the map anyway.
So for me, I will always be using the frags on spawn.
Just look at the amount of kills with gernades in elite slayer vs. a regular team slayer. theres alooooot more kills with gernades in elite slayer, which is why i find the gametype so dumb.
Anytime your beating your opponent, all skills go out the window and its a 50/50 chance on whether your opponent sticks and kills you.
Although plasma nades may be a bit stronger they are nowhere near as efficient as a frag grenade can be. The fuses of frags are much shorter plus the fact that they can bounce and travel into places a plasma can’t makes them much more deadly. Escaping plasma nades is also easier since the introduction of sprint/thrusters/jetpack.
