Spartan : Sierra 398 Ryan

Birthplace : United Kingdom, Earth

DoB : 25/10/2528

Rank : Lance Corporal

His story (According to Dr. Halsey’s field notes)

S398 was recruited into the Spartan III program at the age of seven, in 2540. Being slightly older then the others, there were some slight problems in terms of training and other schedules, but these were quickly overcome. His first week at the training camp on Reach was rather difficult, seeing as he had a knack for… causing trouble. He managed to cut off the power supply for six hours by watching an engineer working on a transformer for a few seconds… This could be useful, so long as we let him play with Covenant tech, not our own…

His views of the Covenant are quite different to those of the others, and of many others too. He looks at them as individuals. One incident in particular, which caused some conflict between him and several others, specifically S239 Emile (Who I will have to keep him separated from) when he began asking questions about the Covenant.

One of our propaganda videos showed a Spartan II squad attacking a small Covenant deployment. The video showed them killing the Covenant there, as a Drill Sergeant lectured the lot about ‘How to kill the aliens’. Well, Ryan spoke up half way through, as an Unggoy was killed, the Spartans HUD camera looking at the dead body momentarily.
He asked, and I quote ‘Do they have names? They all can’t be evil, can they?’

The Drill Sergeant in charge responded by saying ‘Well, would you consider someone who killed millions without a purpose or motive good?’ And Ryan responded again, saying ‘If I was raised from birth to think that people on, say, Madrigal were evil and that I had to kill them all, I think I’d do it without question, thinking I was not in the wrong…’

This severely affected his relationship with the others, it took months to have him integrated back into the group.

2541 - Ryan was separated from his squad temporarily by ONI to conduct a top-secret, one-man mission. His goal was to sneak aboard a Covenant Cruiser and gain intelligence from the inside. He remained in the Cruiser for around twenty hours, making his way to the control bridge. From here, he managed to download Covenant files and implant a virus into the system. He then retreated as the virus decimated the Cruisers flying mechanics. Within twenty minutes, the Cruiser lost all flight capability. He didn’t make it out in time, and the cruiser crashed with him inside. Amazingly, he managed to make it out, but a large piece of shrapnel pierced his right shoulder, damaging nerves and severing tendons. He had to undergo painful physiotherapy, and the doctors and surgeons said he would not regain full mobility for up to ten years. However, to the astonishment of the surgical staff, he was fully capable of combat within just nine months.

2546 - S-III’s charged with an assault on a Covenant Cruiser.

Ryan led a team consisting of S-244 Andrew, S-301 Jack, S-303 Sam and S-298 Becky onto the carrier. His team reached the bridge in under an hour, and detonated a Shiva nuclear device, destroying the cruiser. However, during evacuation, a Sanghelli Ultra Guard assassinated S-298. Her body was never recovered, and the entire team blamed themselves for her loss. Luckily, they were not dramatically affected, and were deemed fit for duty after two weeks. Now, Ryan has carved onto the right forearm of his armour ‘S298’. He refuses to have this armour replaced.

2549 - S-III’s are charged with the destruction of a Covenant Super Carrier.

In August 2549 Ryan and the remaining members of his squad are deployed to Arcadia, and are tasked with defending its capital, Pirth City. However, after over a week of holding off troops deployed by a Corvette-class ship, a Super Carrier arrives and begins glassing the city. The squad are charged with its destruction, with S-244 is charged with handling the bomb and destroying the carrier, sacrificing himself to destroy it.

However, only 700 feet from the carriers traction lift, S-244 was heavily wounded by a Banshee. Ryan then took the bomb and entered the cruiser. He found the bridge and detonated the bomb, sacrificing himself.

Thanks to the actions of this squad, Pirth City was successfully evacuated before four more Super Carriers arrived and glassed the planet.

His name, and those of his squad, are recorded in the military Hall of Fame.

My Spartan knows what the ladies like.

That’s like a WHOLE new character for your Noble 6.

My Noble 6 is pretty much Haunted! Noble Six

My spartans ONI file is 27 pages long, and wholly redacted so that each page is pretty much solid black. Even the page numbers.

Except for page 2, which has a single unredacted word in the middle, the word is “badass”.

According to ONI, thats all we need to know.

I don’t care enough about a suit of armor to create a giant story about it.

I find this interesting. I might do it.

I never really thought about it that much, but as soon as I had the Armory items, I decided my dude was going to be terribly assymetrical - so he has a robotic arm with no shoulder pad, and his other side is bulked up as much as possible with shoulder pad, extra shotty shells, and the softcase.

That, and the gold visor, has been pretty much the only thing that’s stayed as an unchangeable feature as I unlocked more armory items and tweaked them.

I’ve decided that when I hit Inheritor, I’m going to switch my colours to white and blue, and take a blue Haunted helmet with blue flames. Won’t make me play any better, but I’ll be a badass corpse!

Well, besides the Fall of Reach, the battle for New Jerusalim and… Draco III (?)

My spartan is known as the death dealer, he makes Emile A239 look like a teddy bear, most of his files on ONI are classified and require the Inheritor rank to even read the little bit of information that they have to offer.

all that is known is that he was born in a genetics lab to create the ultimate super soldier making him one of the few spartans that are lone wolfs, but oni has sent him on a mission with five other spartans the planet reach

Spartan Name: Alpha X98 Josh

He’s also an Assassin.

Spartan: Delta XIII Mark Hunter Trist

Birthplace: New York, Earth

DoB: 13/07/2532

Rank: Captain

Emblem: Crossed Black Energy Swords over a Deep Blue Star

Biography (From the UNSC Files)

Spartan Delta XIII was recruited at age six in the year of 2538. He did not fit in well with the other children and often hid himself away, resulting in hours of searching before the child was found. He was pulled away from the others and trained by himself after getting in a fist fight with Spartan S-312 Konner. By himself, Spartan D-XIII excelled in several of his trainings, especially in his camouflage and quick thinking skills.

As D-XIII matured, so did his thinking process. He began to over-analyze everything, noticing every detail and coming up with plans that’s logic was so wired and confusing, it couldn’t fail. However, his rivalry with S-312 grew as well. At thirteen, both boys were sent through a training exercise in which Spartan S-312 began shooting at D-XIII. However, to the shock of the guards on duty, the much smaller D-XIII managed to dispel and defeat the older male by sneaking up behind him and rendering him unconscious.

On his first mission, with Spartans D-165 Victoria and Spartan D-723 Felix despite protest, the three managed to rescue a small group of survivors from a Covenant attack, however, they were not able to board the Pelican before Covenant reinforcements arrived. They managed to make a retreat and were given orders to rendezvous with a rescue Pelican. However, before they could arrive, they were intercepted by another group of reinforcements and were forced into the basement of an old factory. When things looked dark, D-XIII wired the cable and knocked out the lights, allowing the three of them to sneak past or assassinate the elites that were in their way.

Continuing to the rendezvous point, they intercepted a radio signal from another group of marooned Spartans. The team agreed to take a detour and help the others, but by the time they had arrived, all that remained was Spartan S-312 Konner. Conflict quickly ensued, but Spartan D-165 managed to settle the two males down long enough to get to the rendezvous. Reluctantly, the four set off.

When the four arrived at the rendezvous point it was overrun by Elites. Caught by surprise, Spartan D-723 was shot down by a sniper, causing the other three to retreat with the corpse. Spartan D-XIII dug a grave and held a small memorial for the fallen soldier, clipping his dog-tag to his own, the remaining three coordinated a plan to break into the radio tower and send a message for a new rendezvous point. During the assault, Spartan S-312 was almost lost on the field of battle, but Spartan D-XIII sniped the Elite from the top of the stairs.

After setting up the location for another rendezvous, D-XIII planned to set up a diversion by blowing up the radio tower, causing the Elites to swarm around their while the three made their get away. Upon arrival, the three prepared to board the rescue Pelican, but a rogue Brute jumped to attack D-XIII. Spartan S-312 pushed D-XIII to the side, taking the fatal blow to the neck. Enraged, D-XIII pulled out a Magnum and fired several rounds into the Brute even when the Brute had expired. After D-165 managed to settle him down, D-XIII drug the corpse onto the ship in order to give him a proper burial upon return home, causing a grim atmosphere on the ride home.

D-XIII developed a tight relationship with Spartan D-165. He began to carry a picture of her with him everywhere and refused to work with any other Spartan than her. This resulted in several solo missions that almost ended in his untimely demise. Before he joined Noble Team as Noble Six, he and Spartan D-165 went on one final mission. D-165 was stabbed by an Energy Sword, and D-XIII went into another rage, firing his Shotgun several times, despite confirmation of its death by several Marines. Recording to several of the marines, he picked her up and carried her the rest of the way.

Something in Spartan D-XIII changed after the death of Spartan D-165. He no longer began to refuse to work with others. Shortly afterwards, he joined Noble Team under the command of Spartan S-423 Carter. Slowly Reach began to fall, and one by one so did Noble Team. At the very end, Spartan D-XIII delivered a very important A.I. while Spartan S-717 Jun escorted Dr. Halsey to safety. At the very end, he readily sacrificed himself in Spartan S-418 Emile’s honor to get Admiral Keys and the A.I. off the planet. However, he himself did not make it, and became a part of Reach…

Thought I’d keep in line with ONI’s typical paranoia.

Spartan: [unknown]-B312

Birthplace : Ariel, Outer Colonies

DoB : 25/10/2535

Rank : [redacted]

Status: MIA

Career Service Vitae (as at 4/9/2559):

Early Childhood:

Candidate B312 was acquired for the SPARTAN-III program on Harmony, however genetic samples show he was born on Ariel. Routine checks of arriving refugees discovered the three year old boy on an arriving freighter, apparently unaccompanied by any carers. He was sent to a local orphanage but was intercepted by ONI agents en route, processed and sent to Onyx for the SPARTAN-III program.

Early Psychological Analysis:

Examiner checks showed that while B312’s mental attitude and abilities fell within the accepted range for S-III recruits, trauma (cause unknown) has led to a mild psychological abnormalities resulting in reduced speech patterns and may result in permanent speech deficiency of presently unknown type. Due to the subjects age, B312 did not know/could not articulate his name.

Onyx training facility:

Upon arrival on Onyx, B312 was cared for in the children’s ward until the S-III-BETA program was initiated in 2539. At age 4, S312 was amongst the youngest of his peers, however he soon excelled at all physical and mental exercises. However, lone wolf tendencies soon emerged in B312. Hypnosis and mind-altering drugs were suggested by scientists to improve his team-mentality, but were overridden by Lieutenant Ambrose (service number: [redacted]), who stated “we are here to make men of war, not drug-pumped psychos”. However, in 2543 B312 was relocated to Project: HEADHUNTER, where his unique skillset and mentality could be of the most advantage.

By this time B312’s was amongst the highest rated of S-III-BETA’s trainees. Capable at long and short range combat, B312 also showed an unusual aptitude with aircraft, resulting in a shift of his training. He was removed from Project: HEADHUNTER, and was given personal commando training from CPO Mendez, and graduated from the training program with full honours.

Military Career:

Precious little data on B312 early deployments during the Human/Covenant war, however ONI files indicate he worked with Project: SABER for some time, but was mainly used against insurrectionists rather than the Covenant. ONI used B312 as a test subject for various military equipment, such as the prototype shielded Mk. IV MJOLNR armour and various armour modifications, with which he used to great affect against the insurrectionists on Mamore. It was during this conflict which he gained the interest of Colonel Holland, who overrode ONI’s interests and had the Spartan reassigned to Noble Team.

The Fall of Reach:

Again, precious little information survived on B312’s involvement on Reach, however, records indicate elements of Noble team fighting across multiple fronts, accompanied by a Spartan of B312’s description. It is confirmed, however, that B312, at that time known as Noble 6, led a raid against the Covenant Corvette Ardent Prayer, which resulted in the destruction of the Corvette and the Supercarrier Long Night of Solace. Confirmation from [redacted] indicated that Noble 6 and his team was hijacked by [redacted] and sent on an unsanctioned mission to deliver the AI CTN 0452-9 to the Cruiser Pillar of Autumn. However, contact with Noble team was lost during that mission. The status of B312 and the rest of Noble Team is currently unknown.

My spartan is Reyaweks, The Daedric God of Spawnkill.
