My favorite character of Fireteam Osiris is Buck.

Buck. He is the only one with any real character and story. I watched Nightfall, so I know a little about Locke, but Tanaka and Vale were new characters to me, and, prior to the game’s list of characters being released, I didn’t know that they existed, and didn’t particularly care for them. What can I say, Imma Chief fanboy.

Locke. Because of his voice and badass, lone-wolf attitude… not actually lone-wolf but ‘better than you’ attitude.
Buck is a tired old man with a few decent jokes.

Locke, I actually like him quite a bit. I know he is a bit boring, but he is easily the most badass out of the fireteam, that, and the fact that he may work with Chief in Halo 6.

- Buck - cause it’s Nathon Fillion…duh. - Vale - love how she is devoted to Sangheili and its culture - Locke - stern, but solid leader - Tanaka - eh…not really anything memorable about her. I think Spartan Thorne would’ve suited the fourth spot better.

Buck, I’m a huge Nathan Fillion fan and I always liked the ODST
Tanaka Is second because I like her armor
Locke for me. There are a lot of subtle things about his character people miss, notably how diplomatic and considerate he is given his surroundings. Tanaka comes in second just because her interactions with Osiris on Meridian. Bit biased since I saw her journey in Halo: Escalation from survivor on a glassed world to UNSC Army Engineer, but you can see her grow from being a more reserved person to opening up to Osiris. Vale’s cool with her geeking out about Sangheili stuff. I honestly don’t get too enthusiastic about Buck. He’s a great character, but he’s comic relief. Nothing wrong with that, but I just got more out of Locke than Buck.

Looks like you’re the one with decent few jokes. After a post like that.
I think the potential to make them great characters is there, with the right script.
In my opinion, no character in Halo 5 was particularly memorable, even the old ones. Again, so much potential, but currently it’s untapped.
Just like everyone else, Buck.

Thorne could still take Tanaka’s place. He would just sneak up on her, stab her and whisper “for the Watch”
