My friends and I have abandoned Halo 5. The only thing that will draw us back is playlists like Action Sack, game types like grifball, non-ranked arena, and a better balanced Warzone with a greater variety of depth within the experience.
Another major failing is with the most expanded variations in the Halo arsenal ever the lack of Fiesta is completely shameful.

I was just thinking that today. I loved fiesta! Where’s the unranked playlists? Even further, if I want to advance my rank in any team based playlist it’s a gamble to play alone. It’s unfair to advance our rank solely by wins. Individual performance should be rewarded.

But I want to create modes and maps for the best FPS out there! BF doesn’t do that!.. Does it?

You are half right and half wrong, Halo used to have a healthy mix of ranks and social.

I don’t they were misguided, but more so mislead by 343. When we buy a Halo game, we expect objective gametypes and social playlists, not just Competitve. That is the norm now and Halo 2 or 3 so are naturally more diverse than Halo 5, without having to lick the butts of pro players just to be competitive. No Halo game launched with intention to be primarily for E-Sports except H5.

You can thank the pro MLG team that work at 343 for that

Yeah, Halo has always had the best of both worlds.
If you’re playing it for only one of those, you’re doing it wrong.
The indication I’m getting from comments by Bravo and others is that they’re now scrambling to add in some of these social game types they, for some unknown reason, neglected to have ready for release. The fact that they weren’t even far enough along to have those gametypes ready to go within two months of release is a huge bummer. A robust custom game building toolset should have been just as important as having Forge up and running. Forge looks pretty great, so hopefully they can bring that same work to the custom games tools so my friends and I can be brought back, but right now I’m feeling pretty uninspired by everything they’ve done.

You might not remember it but Halo’s MP started off as “casual” games played with friends in their mother’s basements before Xbox LIVE was even a thing. People playing split-screen and in LAN parties, Halo’s roots are “casual” my friend, custom games among friends for FUN not hardcore competitive nonsense.

Not true if you are playing halo just for competitive or just for the casual you’re doing it 100% right. What makes halo different from all the other consol fps’ is that it’s a sandbox you could do just about anything you could think of. 343i seems to know this but they don’t seem to understand it. Either that or the extra weight Microsoft got over the franchise when bungie let it go may be keeping them from realising the sandbox

Correction,
“If you’re buying HALO 5: Guardians for “casual” MP, you clearly were misguided.”
