who is this new spartan?

Ok could this new spartan be a cloned master cheif. Why? Because master cheif is getting old and he can’t really be killed off and can he keep up doing what he’s been doing all these years he’s got to be his mid 40’s. He cant be kiled off without upsetting the fans. What a better way to keep the cheif alive, younger and more controlled in the oni camp try gain more control over him then release him on a mission to search for the first cheif.

Ok for one master cheif is way older than his 40s, Spartans have a dramatically increased life span than normal humans. Also the spartan is from ONI because of the symbol on his chest. This new spartan could possibly be master chiefs replacement because in the intro of halo 4 the guy from ONI said master cheif needed a replacement because he was gone, now that master cheif is gone again, they found a replacement for him. I personally think he’s hunting down dr.halsey and master cheif because MC deserted the UNSC and Dr.Halsey is classified as a major criminal.

Nah.

It’s obviously Sam…

Yeah I know but it’d be pretty sweet right?

It’s obviously the Arbiter

No he isn’t, he’s in his 40’s…

Where’ve you got that from?

Basically this. John is around 46 at the time of Halo 4, but since all the time he’s spent in cryo, he’d physically be in his 30s, I believe?

As for John not being able to kick butt at his age…Solid Snake was able to kick butt as an old man, not to mention Sergeant Johnson for a more in-universe example. He was in his late 60s when he died. :stuck_out_tongue:

John is still very much in his prime. I really don’t think the ONI Spartan is a clone.

I just posted my theory on who the new character is here: https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst242485p47_Halo-5--Guardians-REVEALED--Update-2-5.aspx

In short, one theory that I thought of was, the new blue visor character could be a new Promethean made by ONI. If you look at my post in the link above, I have a more detailed reasoning to support this.

I haven’t seen anyone else think of this theory, and I’m wondering if anyone has any thoughts about it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Johnson was in his 60’s?! What a badass. I miss him.

Well more of his late 60’s; about 68. But ya’ know how cryo sleep keeps you young.

I’m really not sure who it could be. Although, I’m pretty sure he is the Chief replacement that Halsey was being told about at the beginning of Halo 4.

Master Chief is in his mid 40’s

I explicitly remember it being written that John’s been a Spartan for at least fifty years or something, so I always assumed he was in his early fifties. Could be wrong since it’s been years since I’ve read anything Halo related, but I definitely feel like he should be at least in his early fifties by H4.

Well to be exact, by 2558 John-117 would be 47 years old, but due to him being in cryo sleep, he’d be around in his early-mid 40s.

Nope. It’s obviously me.

No OP, it’s not a Master Chief Clone, end of story.

The Spartan is male.
He is a brand new character.
That is literally all we know. From this we can infer that he is not a Promethean or machine of any kind nor a clone of Master Chief.

It is Sgt. Johnson’s twin clone brother.

There’s only one person that it can be…

> he can’t really be killed off

Objection! Of course he can. Why not?

Personally, I think the ONI Spartan is Marlowe.

While I don’t think he’s an machine, I don’t think male prevents him from being so. I think most people would consider cortana female or refer to 343GS as “he”.
