Who is this game made for?

This game doesn’t feel like Halo, it feels like Doom Eternal, or borderlands, or destiny.

If multiplayer is how I’ve heard where no sprint or other things, even you defenders are going to hate it. Appealing to everyone makes watered down boring games, just go back to Classic Halo Mechanics like you were hinting at for the past 5 years 343i.

EDIT: I don’t give a flying -Yoink- how the graphics look. It’s the gameplay, so don’t bring up graphics as a deflection/cope.

I for one enjoy the H3 multiplayer.
I play it more then any other halo.
If they kept sprint out I’m stoke.
If sprint is in, I wont use it.
Spartans are to bulky to slide imo.
I enjoy the shot placement and meticulous play style.
Not sprint around a corner and hope you life a firefight.
Sprint broke halos gameplay.
Tweak the movement speed maybe.

This game was made for me thanks for asking. I’m quite excited. As far as how it feels you’ve seen one trailer you didn’t like. You only know how it looks based on something that is an older version.
Halo 2 wasn’t a lot like it’s demo way back in the day.
You don’t really know how it feels.
I hope it feels better than what you are fearing when you finally get to play.
That is all.
Have a lovely day.

I believe that, like No Man’s Sky, this game was made for people who see the potential and have the patience. If that’s not you, totally fair. Hope you enjoy the game when/if it meets your standards.

Rumor that has yet to be officially confirmed as there’s lots of conflicting information. Player counts gonna drop 80% a month or two after release.

Zoomers, it panders to them with things they see in other games, ADS, sprint, the minecraft/fortnite artstyle

It is made for Halo fans, like myself.

“This game doesn’t feel like halo?” Glad to see you’ve played it.

I honestly have no idea. It certainly wasn’t made for classic Halo fans unless your definition of “classic” starts and ends at the art style(which I honestly don’t think is that “classic” anyways outside of a few exceptions). The advanced mobility fans are not getting all of their tools back unless they think the grapple hook is a suitable replacement, which I suppose they could but it still wouldn’t be the same.

If you liked Halo 4 and/or Halo 5’s story or art style you don’t appear to be getting either. You don’t even seem to be getting the full Banished designs we saw in HW2. I guess if you love sprint and clamber, but hated literally everything else about 343 Halo this seems like the game for you.

That is exactly the point of Halo as it always has been: appeal to everyone, that’s why 343 made their best to keep this gameplay accessible for newcomers and long time Halo fans. It is a fair middle ground. I’ll say it again: A Halo without basic gameplay features from today is not sustainable. Halo simply cannot stay the same for 15 years. It is combat evolved, not combat unchangeable.

I am definitely not a zoomer I’m actually gen y or on the older side of millennial depending on how you define it. And I like it. Never got into fortnite ADS sucks. Stop making sweeping generalizations about other groups because you got old and don’t like how younger people game.
Please hate me for liking it instead. :yum:

Hahaha this is hilarious and so true at the same time.

It may still be only a rumour that it is an old build but I can tell you that the halo 2 thing did happen I was around. Games change and game developers work their employees hard you don’t have ab the scenens look at what’s happening. Reserve some judgement too release.
Halo 2 looked great and was nearly a train wreck that didn’t make it out in time and had to be completely rebuilt.

That’s why the MCC has a higher player count then Halo 5 and why halo has became a shell of its self. It’s not even unique anymore. It looks like any other fps on the market. 343i following “modern standards” is what’s killing this franchise.

So please do tell me what revolutionary changes Halo Infinite is bringing to the table compared to it’s predecessors?
What crazy new gameplay mechanics that are turning the FPS AND ARENA SHOOTER genres on their head?

From what I can see it had NOTHING new in the trailer. It did NOTHING different that we haven’t seen over and over and over again in flavor of the month shooters. Wow sprint? So novel and EVOLVED!
G-grappling hook?!!? WHAT FPS GAME HAS DONE THAT BEFORE WOW! What will 343 think of next??

Your post is full of arrogance and cope. Halo Infinite is more of the same and 343 has done nothing or at least little of anything one would say is evolving the game in a new direction.
At least Bungie understood that with Halo 2 and 3 they had their own private niche that gave gamers a scratch for that itch they could get no where else. They also dropped that little tag line of combat evolved anyways.

Halo: Infinite stagnation in a dying franchise that fails to revolutionize and innovate or make use of it’s own carved out niche that was already established.
Enjoy playing more of the same I guess.

And people originally thought Halo 3 was going to be a boring HD remake of Halo 2 basically but at least it managed to push the envelope with multiplayer and create a campaign that was satisfying and well written.

Edit: I should address Halo 2 e3 2003 build was FROM WAY OVER A YEAR BEFORE HALO 2 LAUNCHED.
343 was not showing an alpha like with Bungie but instead a polished part of the campaign in their own words. It’s not changing:

I started with Halo back on day 1 of CE. I think this game is designed for the fans, new and old. The game play looks quite fun. I had my doubts about the grapple hook but it has grown on me, and is a pick up in MP which is even better. My only concern is if they have enough time to get from the demo’s old build to gold. Visually it is not all that impressive at the moment. But you know, neither was H3 at beta.

Aside from the grappler it definitely doesn’t look like Doom Eternal. Doom has great graphics, fast movement speed without sprint, iconic weapons, aggressive enemies, intense combat, and awesome boss fights.
Infinite has bad graphics, slow movement even while sprinting, brain dead enemies, and generic destiny weapons.

“Accessible” let’s add all these advanced movement that require even more button pressing and harder for disabled people to play it cause of all the extra movement. Not really more “accessible”

It seems to not be made for h5 fans or classic halo fans. 343 just wants to take the player base from all other popular games. In the past 343 has lost their player base to other games tho.
