let me clarify.
Who is not gonna play this game because they just don’t wanna be disappointed again by it, and they’d rather just not play the game at all and eliminate all the risk of feeling the same feeling they got with Halo 4 and Halo 5 WISHING that they could have enjoyed it even half as much as previous Halo games.
Not gonna lie, if this coming E3 showcase shows even the slightest glimpse that 343 is going to be breaking their promise about this title and being a total copy/paste of other shooter on the market, I’m out.
I’ll be happy with all the years I had with Halo back since day 1 of Halo CE, but if some nonsense shows up in these coming months about what Halo Infinite is all about, I’m jumping ship.
No more disappointments, no more wanting to like the game just cuz it’s Halo, no more referring back to my favorite Halo CE or Halo 3 level just to make up for lost fun. I’ll be DONE.
I won’t be buying it launch, I’ll wait 3 to 6 months, check the reviews and see how it goes. I might not buy it at all. I’m never going to pre order Halo again after the MCC and Halo 5. However, there are those that will buy it because it’s Halo. I used to be like that, but never again.
Halo MCC was a total failure at launch for matchmaking, but was still a blast to paly through all the campaign’s in one place, in HD. The support they’ve added to it since has turned it into a great game, although too little, too late as community numbers are far too low now.
Halo 5, I thought matchmaking was a lot of fun. The campaign I didn’t enjoy at all. Ah well. I’ll still play through the next game. Lots of my favourite series have had similar iterations of this. Gears if War 2 was unplayable online when it first came out and Judgement had a terrible story mode. Gears 4 is arguably the best in the franchise in all aspects and it’s not the same company who started it all.
I just don’t get it.
343 HAS to see what hype they unleashed with a short teaser. 343 HAS to see the immense hype for the latest and upcoming HALO3 Tournaments (a 12 year old game) 2019. The just can’t ignore the fact that most ppl want a classic Halo game even Pros like Roy confirmed that. If they keep the new mechanics the will be done with halo and I’m also
I won’t play it if I don’t like it, I couldn’t imagine playing something I don’t like just because of the name it’s tied to. I loved H5 until they ruined my favourite weapon. That decreased my enjoyment of the game greatly, so I stopped playing. Same thing with Infinite. I hope it’s good but if I don’t like it I won’t play it, not the end of the world.
“Not gonna lie, if this coming E3 showcase shows even the slightest glimpse that 343 is going to be breaking their promise about this title and being a total copy/paste of other shooter on the market, I’m out.” What promise are you referring to in that sentence?
I’ll see how it looks first threw game play and customization. If they put anything weird in it like halo 5 such as req packs like halo 5 I’m out.
I’m also worried about the Xbox vs PS5. The Xbox one I’ve bought so much less games then I did for the 360. And halo was the only reason I still clinged onto the Xbox. I’ve always been a Xbox fanboy but they really need to bring more exclusives this go around.

I agree what made halo 2 and 3 so damn addictive was.
-simplistic style of gameplay
-ranking system
rewards for unlocks (also reach)
but i I feel the only thing that should be in a halo game personally is sprint but that’s just my opinion. Once you start adding all this thruster, ground pound, spartan charge, load outs, grenade hit markers and AI call outs on the map it completely takes away from what halo use to be.
“I’ll buy it day one” I’m glad I’m not the only one. Everything that I’ve heard and seen about Halo infinite has been positive so far. Just talking in game on mcc and 5, people are incredibly hyped, my only worry is that people can get over hyped. I will support Halo for a long time, I started the fight, I finished it… Now, I’m going to continue it. “Halo Infinite is the gateway to the next 10-20 years of Halo.” They’re taking extra long to develop this game to give the fans a good Halo. And actually, I really really loved Halo 4’s campaign, definitely tied for first with Reach. Well despite sprint that is. However they better drop gameplay details this E3 if they want to “go big” and be the best. Halo needs a massive revival. So I’m going to help start it day one and enjoy every last minute of it. Even with all that other shenanigans in Halo 5, I still enjoy it more than Battlefield, battlefront, Fortnite, PUBG, Apex, Cod, Gears, and many others. So for now, I’m sticking with Halo, and will support it through out Halo Infinite’s entire life span.
I will buy this game because it’s Halo.
But if it has the same H5 “superfast I need to be on drug to win” gameplay style, I’ll just play the campaign and then drop it.
Total day 1 purchase for me. I love all the Halo games in different ways. I dont think any of them are bad. They all excel at something. SO that being said, I am beyond HYPED for this game.

I’ll be playing it the second I get home with it. I think people should judge for themselves rather than someone else’s opinion or review. Everyone is different and has different opinions and taste. If someone doesn’t like it, doesn’t mean you won’t. Unless it’s The Act Man, that guy is a genius and gets what a true halo game should be. If HE gives it a bad review, I’d pay attention.
I’m somewhat different in views than what I had been. Halo5 campaign was a big disappointment to me but getting past the obvious flaws, well it is off course still a polished gameplay experience for the most. Despite some annoying aspects the gameplay is excellent at times if played a certain way and that at least makes Halo Infinite’s chance for good gameplay a given. The thing is 343 know they can’t pull the same -Yoink- which means they’ll be pulling all the stops. Not a guarantee of course but even Halo5 has a worth to me despite only having three Chief missions and this time it is all Chief focused
When it comes to weather I think 343 can fully deliver, well I think their balls are on the chopping block for fans and that likely serves as good incentive to get it right this time. I think though this would be the last straw if the potential seen from the trailer is screwed up because people can see great things from that
Ill buy it day one if the trailers hold up to there end of the bargain. I will not pre order it, until I see full match making games of it, as well as the customization and ranking system of the game. I pre ordered Halo 5 and it was a huge mistake. However I will buy this game either day 1 or close to it, if it looks good.
