I have read multiple theories on Naomi’s back story and the one thing everyone can agree on is she was no where in the cannon between her augmentations and then showing up in the Kilo-five trilogy. The Fall of Reach and First Strike both account for the fates of the majority of the Spartans that were present at reach when it fell. My favorite theory is one that would place Noami in Team Beta Red. They were assigned with defendeding the orbital defense generators that powered the super MACs. This all comes from the Halo Reach radio broadcasts easter eggs that can be found in the campaign. I think it’s possible that Noami may have been Beta-red actual or another Beta- red spartan. We all assume that Beta red was destroyed when Mac rounds were fired on there last know positions which was danger close but maybe some of the spartans survived. If not there is no room for her connanically speaking. I do not believe she was one of the rehabilitated Spartans (such as Osman) due to the fact that she is described as being a veteran of multiple campaigns and she seems like she’s worn Mjolnir armor her whole life. Another theory I have about Noami is that she was not present on Reach but was MIA before the battle and was found sometime after. Anyways, I would love to see what everybody else’s thoughts are on the subject.

She had Mk VII when we met her in Glasslands, though if she was present during the Fall of Reach then we can assume she was equipped with Mk V until 2553 before she joined Kilo-Five. One of the ODSTs did theorize that she personally requested that her armor set resemble the Mk V armor set though.

From what i remember, it was a retired Spartan on Earth that tested out Chief’s new armor. Can;t remember which book. But I remember Lord Hood thanking the female Spartan and told her that John will be using the armor when he receives it ASAP. She then asked if it was John 117 and Lord Hood said that information is classified but I will pass it along that you said hi. His way of saying it was without actually saying. I want to say it was one of the comics that took place in between Halo CE and Halo 2 because Chief received his new armor in Halo 2 on the same station that the comic took place.
I agree that Naomi was one of the Spartan II’s that we haven’t heard about. 75 that graduated and many that didn’t make augmentation. Whose to say that they weren’t able to make it later on or have armor specially developed for them. Who knows. So many story holes and so many stories that could fill our libraries way past our comprehension.

As far as I know, there has been no mention of 010 testing Mark VI armor prior to 117 receiving a set. The retired female Spartan that did test the Mark VI at Special Warfare Center Songnam was Maria-062.

Thank you. couldn’t think of her name. I wonder if Maria-062 decided to pick up the gauntlet when Earth was attacked and help out? If so, did UNSC give her armor to aid her? Hmmm
I heard she was a spartan II who was probably crippled since we never heard about her then she could’ve got reaugmentated as a sIII but after reach not before it

It’s a possibility. I’d love to see some of that backstory fleshed out in the future. Even if its an intel drop in the Halo Lootcrates.
