Who is Listening to the Fans???

So I know this may get locked, and I find it stupid that it will if i mention small things here and there.

Does 343i Actually listen to anything we say?

My opinion they don’t. When ever there were changes to Halo when Halo 4 came out people went crazy, Loadouts, Sprint, ect. 343 took some stuff away, but didn’t add in things that people wanted back. Things that were classic to Halo were taken away, like the hornet. People thought 343 would learn but they didn’t. We had to wait months before we got a UNSC vehicle. What do we get, one version of a vehicle smaller than a banshee and is very week. 343 is all about the balanced gameplay but didn’t think bout that very well did they?

343 took away King of the Hill an added in something similar but to me doesn’t feel like halo. (I understand Halo Can’t stay the same forever but still)

Another thing… this game used to have a certain rating. Now it is changed. We have no blood in this game from what I see except when you use an assassination. I don’t like how Halos multiplayer is put into the lore, it just annoys me and a group of people. (There are many reasons why I hate this but one big reason is this gave them an excuse to get rid of Elites from Multiplayer. Which have been here since Halo 2 - No one say, Go to MCC. That game is so broken that 343 didn’t care to even make sure it worked before it came out.)

When Bungie was in control, things were unique in my opinion. Halo had diversity. Halo feels like any other first person shooter now, and many could agree with me. The fans of Halo have poured in feedback that would make Halo a better than what it is, but they have ignored it. People had to spam the forums, and complain til 343 said its time to make them shut up. I miss a lot of old things from past Halos, and to this day I still think Halo 2 is the best Halo out there. I may get hate for this post, and it may get locked but lets be real, does 343 listen? There is major threads begging for things to come back that made Halo what it was, is 343 listening? Nope.

If you agree with anything I have said post below what you miss from Halo, and your thoughts on if they actually listen. Cause so far it seems like they don’t, and if they do, it is only a certain amount of people.

(As far as I know i haven’t thrown any insults, or anything except for calling 343 out on this, and If the post gets locked, I will gladly read why and change something on this post to keep it here, but this is kinda a rant/call out post.)

Listening to the fans is not always a good thing. People complained about Halo 5 and dropped it because Arena wasn’t BR Starts. People are still asking for Dual Wielding, without knowing just how badly it can ruin the sandbox.

When it comes to the ESRB rating, Halo barely deserved an M rating as it is. Most of it was because of the Flood, and Halo 4 got it because the scientist got turned to ash in extreme detail. Also, Terminal Velocity has blood.

Also, as said in another thread, Halo CE was basically a giant hybrid of a bunch of other games.

Also, Halo 2 had it’s fair share of hate and flames as well. Really, just about every game did up to now. I remember the huge flames thrown in Reach, and people said that no one would ever find this game worth it. And now to most people it’s the holy grail of Halo.

Even Halo 4 is starting to win people over now that it’s not the newest game on the market. Now I’m just waiting for Halo 6 so people can start loving Halo 5.

Basically very few of the questions receive legal answer from 343.
Most of the questions and complaints is a Screaming in the Dessert.

The things they didn’t listen to until people spammed the forums was infection, and a UNSC Flying vehicle. Also, dual wielding is something that should be put in this game, I agree. But this is a forum with 713 pages. The elite thread.

Agreed. The reason we got Halo 5’s story was because of the backlash Halo 4’s campaign received, and that pisses me off to no end.

People will beg the forum with literally anything.

People wanted Slayer to be BR starts.

People wanted Slayer to be H2BR starts.

People wanted the Halo CE Pistol to be a Loadout weapon.

People wanted the H3 AE, Reach DMR, H4 AR, etc.

Agreed, listening to the fans not always is a good thing.
People everyday beg to 343 to do this, do that, fix this, bring back that. They need to be more confident about what they are doing.
I think 343 does a great job listening to the fans, and fans means everyone, no matter when they started playing Halo.

We’ve had multiple topics like this pop up over the last year, probably further back if I dig. They do lurk, they do listen, finding balance between sides of the community that want polar opposites is always going to be near impossible. For future reference, best not to start your topic off with “So I know this may get locked”.
