First off… FLAME ON!
Secondly: I am personally happy that HCS is comming to an end its been really heavily focused on in Halo 5 and all over by advertising and what not. I am thankful its comming to a close that way 343 can focus on Halo 5 and fix all problems and give better updates. It seems like the HCS pulled away the possibilities that Halo 5 could have had at launch… What do you think?
I don’t follow your logic. I’m pretty sure 343 should be able to walk and chew gum at the same time, they are pretty big studio.
Besides, I’m pretty sure there is going to be some kind of pro-league after the HCS finishes. MS have invested too much in this to give up on it at this point.

That doesn’t even make sense.
First the gametype developers are spending too much time making REQs, now theyre spending too much time organising HCS.
Those gametype devs really have their fingers in every pie at 343 don’t they.
lol you do know another season has most likely been greenlit right?
Beyond some token appearances by higher ups, its unlikely 343 has anyone involved in developing content busy with HCS. You get organizers, announcers, and some network techs involved, not programmers.
HCS is way better than the Halo 4 tournament, which was a hilarious free for all. The final match of a 1 v 1 was hysterical, and in no way shape or form what Halo is about.
I don’t enjoy any thing about hcs or any thing of the like
HCS hasn’t had any negative affects on me, or my Halo experience, so I don’t see why I would be happy its coming to an end. I am happy for those in the finals though! That’s awesome for them!
I like competitive Halo but I do think there is some truth to what the OP is saying. When MCC had tourney the game went without impactful updates for ages…Halo 5 is being supported better but I think now that HCS is coming to a close (at least until another season is announced) the base game will improve.
I never understood turning video games into Esports and I can’t wait until the championship ends.
I’m pretty sure that developers are not heavily involved in E-Sports events. The PR part of the team is probably the ones who are there at HCS (Like Bravo and maybe Frank)
What resources are being taken up by the HCS that you imagine are going to move to " fix all problems and give better updates"?
The community complained for years that competitive Halo was dead, now it is rising back up again. I don’t really care that much for HCS but like all aspects of Halo its importance cant be ignored.
I’m just glad that it means we will finally see some sandbox balances once it’s finally over.

In case you are not trolling, it stands for Halo Championship Series.
There is a world tournament going on all weekend with pro teams from all over the world playing against each other. Watch it live here all weekend.
Its just been completely taken for granted by the OP that making HCS meant 343i had to cut content. C’mon now kid, you’re smarter than this.
Im happy its ending, but not for your reasons OP. I just really don’t like E sports.

No I was not trolling. Its obvious what it means now. But I just didn’t feel like thinking. i also don’t follow the series so there is that. Although I have watched a pro match a few times and learned things.
