Don’t get me wrong, I think Cortana’s death was handled well and was worthy of her character. But I don’t see why she was killed off so early in the trilogy. She’s been a highly important character throughout the franchise. She is Chief’s very own companion; Halo just won’t be the same without her.
So it looks like they’ll have to give Chief a new AI to guide him through his adventures. Who will it be, and do you think it will have any hops of competing with Cortana’s legacy across the Halo universe?

I also would laugh. If Cortana does not return however… all I can say is Halo will be one more element gone which has tied the community together.
She better return. Heck, New Cortana A.I., meet old Cortana A.I… Boy would that be a fun conversation…

Yup. In short though, Chakas would become a Monitor and one of his fragments would become 343 Guilty Spark. Chakas came back recently a jacked a UNSC ship to look for the Librarian.
