I must admit that I’m having a great time playing this title. I have played all of them since CE on an OXM demo for the original Xbox. I’m starting to fall in love again. I know it has it’s flaws (as all new titles do) but I’m committed to see some positive changes. The cosmetics are really sweet, granted I can’t afford them all. I haven’t played the campaign, but that’s not available to everyone right now. I skipped H5 because I wasn’t really sold on that. I can admit this might be redemption 343. I wanna see some rankings outside of the BP. Happy Holidays!
I am liking the multiplayer. Certainly better than the competition. But as others have said, content needs to start flowing.
I think my judgement is ultimately going to settle on how the campaign goes. I am loving what I see gameplay wise. Story wise I have concerns. Less factions, less biomes etc. I think as long as I am left curious about where things are heading it’ll be fine.
Multiplayer: love it aside from the obvious I love it
Campgain: I’ll see lay it when it drops
Multiplayer: Fantastic gameplay experience, barren user engagement experience.
Campaign: Not sure, but I’m definitely buying it.
Multiplayer: some of the most fun I’ve ever had in recent gaming years, especially with my friends. Gameplay is fantastic, but customization and game type choices are lacking.
Soundtrack: phenomenal
Campaign: very hyped for it, especially after the reviews that dropped today.
i was for the first week but now I’m really starting to see all the flaws and there are almost to many to list.
Certain details are fantastic but others are down right disenhearting I’m already bored with the maps and any attempts to make that fresh (random weapon spawns in social) are nill effective… not to mention driving most ground vehicles does not feel as rewarding or as powerful as they once did (I’m not advocating for indestructable vehicles, but they are not perfect in infnite by any chance) I personally think the warthog needs a little more armor for itself… and maybe for the gunner…
Gameplay great. F2P and challange model sucks, but I dont care much anyway.
I bought BP since it is infinite and was cheap. That is the only microtransaction “worth” spending on currently.
Missing modes etc will be added later. I dont have a problem with that.
So I am happy with what we got ahead of release.
I play a lot anyway so I dont even feel that slow progression. But I can understand that those who play couple hours a week will see little to no progress with current system.
I just hope they fix technical issues fast.
Not me, it sucks balls. In ways which have mostly been described by others on here so I’m not going to list them.
I’m impressed, but then again I’ve never met a Halo I didn’t like so I’m a low bar.
The core gameplay of the multiplayer is excellent. It’s a high point in the series. Unfortunately, playing the same grab bag playlist and having standard game modes be used as limited time events to drive FOMO purchases means that the overall experience is dramatically lacking compared to previous titles.
The core gameplay I actually find fun, they hit the nail on the head, credit where credit is due however the classic playlists need adding.
Gameplay yes, I enjoy it, would want Slayer specific lobbies. It I heard that’s coming already.
Now as far as the monetization no.
The store from my is a lazy job. It’s basically Vanilla Fortnite. Actually even worse it’s the same store front as Anthem EA’s failed game.
It promotes FOMO, and drip feeding customization content while putting it behind a paywall is absolutely sad.
I could have designed a better method.
For example: Only event stuff goes away.
Everything else stays in store for a full year, than it gets archived and brought back from time to time.
As far as unlocks
I would have a method similar to reach. You can earn credits through gameplay. and we bring back commendation with rewards toed to them.
Get x amount of kills with weapon. Unlocks are in teirs.
Their one after x amount of kills you get a weapon charm.
Next emblem, next nameplate finally an Armor set.
Same with PvE get x amount of kills of this enemy type.
Same unlocks. Maybe some Coatings added in.
But so far the offerings are bare bones at best and seem to have been no effort put into it
From the MP side, I’d say overall no. Although, there are things I’m happy about such as the control customization, the addition of a proper ping system, the gunplay feel of the Battle Rifle, and maintaining the sprint, slide, plus clamber mechanisms.
sounds like a good idea, but i would also like to see a larger selection of items so you can have more up to buy which could lower prices too.
