Rumble Pit was my most-played playlist in Reach. I’m a lone wolf by nature and I do fine in teams but my true love in Halo has been FFA since I got Reach.
Regicide is fun at times but it is simply not an acceptable alternative due to it’s horrendous imbalance and BS circumstances (e.g., the best player in the match is robbed of a victory when another player gets a few kills on a max-bonus king). I wouldn’t mind at all seeing them scrap Regicide altogether and bring in a bona fide FFA playlist like Rumble Pit.
Ideally, I would like them to include infinity slayer with personal ordnance and custom loadouts, normal slayer with custom loadouts but no personal ordnance, and slayer pro with preset loadouts, no personal ordnance, no radar. Of course there would be oddball, KOTH, and juggernaut - and they could remove the regicide playlist and just offer as a gametype in Rumble Pit to avoid having too many playlists.
I could play a playlist like this all day everday regardless of whether my friends are playing. Regicide is garbage compared to my experience with Rumble Pit in Reach and Lone Wolves in H3. I miss it dearly. Is anyone else with me? Also, is there any word on whether Rumble Pit will be coming back?
Rumble Pit will be in halo 4 this month but its name will be FFA Slayer i think.

Agreed. Regicide is horribly imbalanced as a FFA gametype (its actually pretty good as a team game though) and I would love to see regular FFA.
Thank you I knew I wasn’t alone on this. It’s just beyond me how they decided to make a new FFA gametype and instead of add it to the rotation of Rumble Pit, they gave it its own playlist and left RP out of the game. What were they thinking!?!?!
Team Regicide is great though
This + Doubles = a massive improvement to the game for me (provided they don’t mess it up somehow). Also Rocket Race plox :>.

I feel the same way as OP, When I get tired of having terrible team mates in objective, I want to go into FFA slayer and kick some -Yoink- but instead I get a 5v1 situation with regicide. Don’t get me wrong I love the rush when you have 5 guys after you but it can get annoying after a while. Rumble pit FFA & Obj with regicide would be perfect.
Finally…now i dont have to play Regicide. Although, i enjoy Team Regicide.

To be honest, I’d love to see FFA slayer both with and without personal ordnance. I’m a fan of PO, and though I know the default system is not at all conducive to competitive play, it’s awesome to be rewarded with an incineration canon or a beam rifle for my hard work and get to extend my sprees longer in a casual setting.
Also, if you can steal an opponents ordnance or start getting some good ones for yourself, it could help you make a great comeback in the game (whether it’s FFA or teams) and comeback are always fun.
Regicide is the reason I left H4 to play COD. This game is punishing to play solo in a team based game, yet in other titles I could punch up Lone Wolves or Rumble Pit.
I would stop playing COD if RP was a permanent playlist. You watch, it will come in for 1 week and then be dropped due to the 10 playlist rule.
Piss off Regicide, put in Rumble Pit. I never thought I would say this but COD is run way better than this game.

I agree with all of your suggestions expect I think the top 3 should record a win only if there are 7 or 8 players. Any games with 5 or 6 players should have only 2 winners, and any games 4 players or less should have only 1 winner.
I also think it’s worth mentioning that late-join should be off.
Team Snipers, Team Doubles, Team Throwdown, now all that’s missing is RUMBLE PIT and Halo 4 will be officially BACK!!
