Who else wants forge maps in MM on day 1?

Normally on reach i hate the forge maps, but on halo 4 these new forge maps look amazingly unique.

I think these maps should defiantly be in the playlists on day 1 in order to give more map variety on release. This will also place a 5th map (relay) into the team slayer playlists, as so far there is only 4 regular small team slayer based maps. This would make the players on the playlists a lot happier and will stop players form being bored of the 4 maps before late december.

The 3 maps are…

Relay- a symetrical competitive map with a main point in the middle with corridors surrounding the outside of the center point.

Settlement- a large slayer/BTB map that has two round bunkers on each side, with a large cent building and a forerunner structure at the other side of the ravine.

Unknown- based on erosion, most likely for team slayer/BTB.

Who else wants these on day 1?

I agree. Forge maps, assuming they’re made well, only increase the variety.

But, if they are bad maps then I’d rather they stay out. I just hope that we get some community content before too long.

Personally i think if they find say a better map than relay, they should replace it instead of add them side by side to stop clustering.

As long as they take HALO:REACH forged maps as an exsample of what not to do, then i’m all for it.

Please no, reach was plagued with community made maps that were awful. Try going into btb without a community made map, nearly impossible. If halo 4 just had disc maps on it I would be a happy spartan. Custom maps should only be in custom games and mlg. That is all.

Well, as long as they actually bring in good maps.
I always play on Asylum and some others which are good are Kingdom, Wayont and some I just don’t remember the name from.

But many of them were terrible. I remember the first two forge maps they brought in matchmaking.
They were both made at the place where Asylum is made…

Of course. There’re multiple forge pallets and multiple forge maps, and not just one grey pallet like in Halo Reach which made it boring, repetitive, dull, etc.

People saying “No” are most likely just thinking about Reach.

I think they actually will be in matchmaking. Doesn’t make much since for 343i to make the maps and not put them in matchmaking.

I’m all for more forge maps in MM. I like variety and despite me hating a lot of things in reach the forge maps I actually did not mind. Made things different and there were a lot of them which was nice to see.

I honestly don’t. I do not want any forged maps in the basic matchmaking rotation.

Give them their own playlist, sure. But, keep them away from the basics.

In Halo: Reach they were annoying, and otherwise unenjoyable. I would have rather played the DLC I paid for opposed to a bunch of community made maps, that I could just download for free.

If they do throw in Forge Maps, they better be damn good and aesthetically pleasing.

I wouldn’t mind the pre-made forge variants being in MM at launch. I like the look of Relay a lot.

As much as I love forge I wouldn’t want to see them in MM. 343 really dropped the ball on forge. It’s just re-skinned Reach objects ONLY NOW THEY’RE WHITE!

Dynamic lighting will surely change your perspective on how forge in Halo 4 looks…

One of my favorite reach maps is Uncaged, so I strongly encourage the implementation of forge maps.

Yes please! I enjoy all the well made Forge maps in Reach, though there definitely are a lot that play awful. We just need 343 to rigorously playtest the maps and take community feedback on them as well. Relay looks amazing but I will reserve judgement until I see how it plays because the community map Temple I loved when I saw it first, it’s beautiful aesthetically, but then they put it in SWAT. And it doesn’t work for SWAT.

Oh, so it’s all Reskinned Reach forge objects but now there are shadows. How exciting.
