Because it is a new mode, you will be set up with a lot of people who won’t know what to do. so it’s understandable it is frustrating right now but once people familiarize themselves on what to do, it is so much fun!

At this moment, I can’t stand it. I feel like if they have the seeds spread across the map (rather than literally dropping 5 of them in 1 location) would balance it out more. Especially considering the seed pile spawns on either teams side which isn’t fair.
Since seeds can be stolen at an extremely slow rate, I would like to see it take longer to deposit as well.
I love stockpile I actually have found a fun way to move the seeds quickly by using the repulsor making them fly to my base
Yeah, Stockpile was the first thing I was put into for this version of the game and I was 100% confused at what the mode even was. The more I learn about it, the less I enjoy it to be honest… trying out a Steal for the first time was disappointing as hell because I had to sneak past the entire enemy team, get up on top of their base, only to find out I had to hold X for an eternity and thus I got killed.
They took a simple, fun mode from Reach that excels in multi-team, and overcomplicated it into a boring mess that doesn’t work with only 2 teams and such a huge player count.
It could be fun but honestly matchmaking favors it was too much, over half my matches in btb are this mode and almost all of those of this mode were on fragmentation resulting me getting sick of not only this mode but the map fragmentation itself. Plus, like what Flamingo said, all the seeds needed for a point getting dumped on one side of the map in a big pile is terrible design. They should spawn spread apart at 5 random spots of the map.
I would like to try that mode with 3 teams.
Now THIS is an awesome idea. I imagine it would be more fun if the seeds had neutral starts.
As it is now, I don’t really enjoy Stockpile at all.
Stockpile is fun. I won my first game of it, which made me love it. But if you don’t have a coordinated team it can be frustrating.
Gameplay wise I like the concept a lot. Making use of the new carrying/throwing feature for something other than fusion coils was a smart move on 343i part.
My one suggestion is to spread the power seeds across the map instead of in a pile. I think that would make the game flow better/be more interesting.
Oh 100%, it’s a very fun gamemode that rewards both teamwork & map control, but also has a strong emphasis on individuals since a single person can grab an objective and sneak it through, or even start throwing a bunch of them in the right direction.
I like stockpile. You definitely need to communicate, though. If you go in without friends, it can be frustrating. Pretty much like all objective gametypes.
