I can’t be the only one. I don’t understand how I can be so high in rank as 42, but still barely have enough skill to get by. Possibly because I never play 1v1? What I’m asking here is if anyone else is/was in this dilemma, and what they did to improve. I really don’t want people to face me worrying that I’m gonna pound them, but easily defeat me and think what a joke of a player I am :’(
keep practicing and get a good understanding for the units strengths and weaknesses, learn the counters and build times for your strategies, learn the leaders and what play styles they execute, know when to push and when to defend. knowledge of the map helps too. micro and macro is super key to intense engagements itll take some time but eventually youll get to the higher level.

Don’t mind it. Now that the rank is hidden, they cannot judge you.
As to why you’re still an “average” player (if my opinion, you’re above average), the reason is that it seems like you played a lot against the A.I. Like you said, the best way to improve would be to do 1vs1 ranked.
But anyway, I think the most important thing is to have fun. And don’t forget that the game tries to match you with other players as strong as you.
You are certainly not the only one OP. Rank really doesn’t mean anything in this game. Rank just means that you play alot or have played alot. I have seen rank 10 players destroy rank 50 players.
Don’t be so hard on yourself. If you are playing 2s and 3s with random players then the blame is not just on you. I play 3s only and all the time with random players. I have a ok win/loss vs players approx winning 55% of my games. I am by no means a great player but i can hold my own.
If you could get into a party of 2 or 3 and coordinate armies and attacks you would win alot more I reckon.
I am almost rank 30 and looking for groups all the time because playing with randoms can do your head in sometimes.

I was playing against the AI so I could get the hang of the Arbiter, think up strategies for him without too much pressure on me. You know, like training wheels. Maybe I should try 1v1, but I didn’t do it before because I believed it was too…competitive. It’s all just rush, rush, rush down there, and I might not be able to handle it, but I’ll give it a try.
Watch twitch sometimes it could help you out. If you watch the good people.

If you’d like I can do some 1v1 scrimmages with you to practice?
I wouldn’t worry too much about it at all. Im rank 50, and I’d say I’m average (maybe slightly above but I still get battered by people) I’ve still got plenty to learn. What I did was mostly focus on 1’s and watched YouTube channels such as truthSOseeker and breaking the clutch, both have helped me massively.
Who cares what people say, just block their -Yoink-. Most of the time I get a gg but then there will be that Snowflake that decides to be an -Yoink-.
If you ever wanna team up add my gamertag it’s the same as my forum name, I’m on UK time though.

the guy i played with a few games ago sure was. level 49 he grabbed up both my bases and my brothers bases and starved our team of resources. if it wasnt for my turret and the new jack rabbit upgrade that gives basic units a weapon i’d have been wiped out at 10 minutes. i held on though and after about 30 minutes i finally lost my last base to a 3v1 while the guy that stole our bases was busy making his army and my brother was rebuilding his. i told my brother to use his flame thrower units to destroy the enemies bases since he was playing as kinsano and the random just pretty much sat at his base. when a base would be destroyed by my brother he’d capture it, not upgrade it and let it sit. i pinged for the land grabber to destroy one of his bases so i could build one, but he waited until i was already out of the game first.
then after the game he sent me a message to try and insult me. i reported it of course. hope he learns to be nicer before he loses his account.
me because i level up playing bots and doing campaign
