Who else is happy about the Assault Rifle?!

I know it’s really old news on how the assault rifle looks but the more I see it used in gameplay videos the more I think…
"Finally! It’s back to it’s original glory instead of horrible looking knock offs

So, who else is with me in being excited for it returning to looking amazing?

I’m very excited. I can’t stand Reach’s hideous Assault Rifle.

Wait, are you talking about the actual design? Because in Reach it actually looks like a real weapon, whereas before it looked like a cartoon gun from the 80s.

Yes, I am talking about it’s design.
I prefer it’s original smooth design over how clunky and cut up/ glued together it looks in Reach.

I strongly agree, plus it sounds like it packs a serious punch.

The Reach design looked like an alarm clock.

yeah the AR actualy looks like a deadly looking gun now the parts i find nicest about it now is that its thickecker and moreangular and also the muzzle break is another very nice improvement, now it truly looks deadly in its own right so yes

Agreed. Reach’s AR design was a disgrace to the icon look of the original design. I’m very excited to see it return to it’s former glory.

Glad to see so many people besides myself that are looking forward to it’s magnificent return

While I do really like Reach’s design, I do love the look of the Halo 4 Assault Rifle!

> While I do really like Reach’s design, I do love the look of the Halo 4 Assault Rifle!

reach has a more current day look put to mind so it looks more realistic than the others

Im glad its usefull now.

It both looks and sounds amazing!

Actually, from mlg gameplay vidoes of halo 4 from e3, players said the assault rifle was just as weak as it was in reach/3.

Also, reach design has a lot more polygons/texture than the plastic popcorn assault rifle halo 3. Don’t get why people are saying reach assault rife was a “disgrace”

True, and hence it would have been perfect in the hands of a random noname Marine in a nameless FPS game set in a modern time, preferably a war. (pun intended).
The Reach looked “realistic”, but at the same time it didn’t look Halo. Halo is a futuristic game, and the weapons are supposed to be “high tech” design. Cartoonish if you wish, as long as it fits the game.

OnT:
I’m glad to see that it once again looks like the proper “shredder” aka the Assault from Halo CE, that did shred any and all resistance to pieces. I hope it’s effective this time around to, so that it can be used at least for close range, once again

I love it! Especially since so much is being changed in Halo 4 its nice to have a good ol original. (i didnt mind the Reach Ar since it was in the past)

Don’t refer to other people when I was clearly the only one that said it was a “disgrace”. In my opinion I just didn’t like the look of the Reach AR. To me, the original design of the AR from previous titles is an icon when I think of the Halo arsenal. The Master Chief and him holding the classic AR IS Halo in my eyes.

That’s MLG your talking about and have you seen some of the RTX game play? It kills way faster than Reach

amen to the “shredder” part but i agree it was like taking the AR for reach tossing it thru CoD plus it sounded like a popcorn machine on overdrive, halo 4 fixed it it sounds like a real gun… hallelujah

I played it at RTX and it kills faster
