Who else has Helioskrill?

Just got mine yesterday. woo woo!

I’ll most likely be using this armour in the actual game, that is, if we can’t play as an actual elite.

Ur a scrub had mine since November 23rd

This evening…

Don’t use it. The hit-box for your head is bigger than the average helmet, but because Helioskrill’s helmet is the biggest in the game**, the enemy can see that hit-box**. I saw through a killcam that just barely the tip of the back scallop of the Helioskrill helmet was visible while I was crouching and I got sniped. The Helioskrill helmet needs to be smaller.

I do! It’s awesome. :3

You having more free time than me means I am a scrub. Great reasoning.

If I was a scrub I would be JD or Turk. (Get it?)

Hitboxes are like the other Halos, there isn’t a different one per armour permutation. Every Spartan shares the same hitbox regardless of armour.

It is true that some are more easily seen from behind cover BUT they do not give anything extra to hit.

And my first playthrough the MCC was Legendary, Solo. Since pre-day 1

Got mine as well. SR23 in beta and haven’t seen anything else worth wearing yet.

Anyone know what the highest SR you can get in the beta is? Also what visors have you unlocked?

He’s not saying it makes your hitbox bigger, he’s saying wearing that helmet makes it easier for the enemy to aim (bigger target). If you had a helmet that made your head the size of a pinhead but kept the same hotbox, it would be really hard to headshot you because the enemy wouldn’t have anything to aim at. It wouldn’t matter how big the actual area they could hit would be because they wouldn’t be able to aim.

… That doesn’t make sense. There’s a reason it’s the “hitbox(es)” If you don’t hit the hitbox, you don’t register a hit.

The reversal is that though someone may have had a lower profile helm and did not appear to be visually behind the rock, their hitbox would still have been visible to the reticle and if it’s red and on your head… You’re dead!!!

For example, you can see the tip of the Hayabusa helm in H3 behind most purposely put cover BUT weapons don’t register a hit on that part of the helm because it’s not inside the hitbox.
(Elites in H3 have a missing hitbox in their neck so you can actually miss a sticky, sniper and even melee in the wrong circumstances.)

Kill-cam accuracy is atrocious.

How the heck can you beat the campaigns? It took me and a friend several hours to beat two Halo CE missions on legendary.
And don’t call me a scrub, because I’m above average at Halo.

I was going to wait to do Legendary but after seeing helioskrill I decided to do it a couple days before the beta.

I assume everyone just runs past the enemies

Or you could just fight. Legendary is definitely do-able for most players outside of Halo 2. That game requires more than average. Heroic in Halo 2 is comparable to Legendary in other games IMO.

i need help getting it.

its alot of memorization and noob combos my friend. the plasma rifle is a good go to for elites with its stun in halo 1 also the shotgun for the flood, you’ll have to pretty much noob combo your way through halo 2 while trying to memorize where all the jackal snipers are, halo 3 isnt to bad, halo 4 your only real trouble should come from the promethean knights. noobs combos can still work on them but they arent as effective but needlers seems to kick their ***.

3 is super easy thanks to a generous respawn system. 4 is really easy too. 1 is a little tougher because you don’t have rifles like BRs or anything. 2 is hardest, but it was also the one I was least familiar with, and it got easier as I became more familiar with where the enemies were.
