Who do you think you’ll be fighting in Halo 4? Do you think it’ll be something that’s already been known to us or something completely new? Maybe it’s the Forerunners?
Post your thoughts.
I’m not sure. Alot of hints point towards the Precursors as our main enemies(and they are 8 feet tall, not 40 feet or anything like that. Thats just ridiculous.), however, alot of newer hints and concept art photo’s point towards the Forerunners. I’m an avid Precursor supporter, but at the moment i’m torn between the two as they would both make interesting foes.
Spoilers
Aren’t all the Precursors dead? I think it will be the “ancient evil” and the Forerunners will be our allies.
I bet the forerunners
my vote is for forrunners
I bet we team up with the didact, possibly against the librarian as 343 is going to meet her and i could see something very bad happening between them.
either that or the didact/librarian against covies and angry forerunners/prometheans and later precursors

ActuallySpoilers of my own The Precursors are not all dead. Some fled the Milky Way Galaxy when the Forerunners beat then. They likely fled to another galaxy and stayed there until now. They are likely returning to test Humanity again, to see if we are still worthy of the Mantle. I also agree, the Forerunners would likely be allies.
what if the enemy is both the precursors and the forerunners
> what if the enemy is both the precursors and the forerunners
Thats a scary thought.

yes and listen to this spoiler the timeless one said that the rest fled the galaxy and CREATION CONTINUED. that would be interesting if that the basic enemies was the life the precursors continued to create and the precursors themselves are like bosses.
While I’d bet on precursors being THE enemy, I forsee Halo 4 to revolve mostly around a more “evil” sect of forerunners that serve the precursors under Fabers rule. Since just introducing us to the forerunner alone is a hell of a lot to throw at us, theres no need to bring out the big guns right away. A full game to introduce us to the forerunners, both enemies and allies, get us integrated in their conflict, and how it feeds into the larger story (some of them serve the precursors, the REAL enemy), seems about right.
So while Halo 4 takes place mostly on requiem, I can see it opening up into a giant massive intergalactic conflict that involves ALL species for halo 5 and 6, and since those 2 will be on the next generation xbox, 343 will have that much more power to properly show us just what wonders the galaxy still holds for us.

Thats something I considered too. It actually does make sense. Halo 4 introduces you to the Didactic Forerunners(Allies led by The Didact and The Librarian) and the Precursor controlled Forerunners(led by the infected Master Builder Faber.) Then in Halo 5, halfway through the game or near the end, the Precursors arrive and the dark part of the Reclaimer Trilogy occurs, then Halo 6 puts the Precursors entirely on the frontline.
They are way taller than 8 feet
> They are way taller than 8 feet
Ya know, i’m kinda curious where everyone keeps getting the idea that the Precursors are 40- 80 feet tall. When the Timeless One was first encountered on Charum Hakkor, he was 8 feet tall. On Installation 07, he was infected by the flood, but he was like a Gravemind, which me know are quite large.
A faction of Forerunners led by The Master Builder
Perhaps it is something new altogether?
Super Evil Dark Master Chief.
Master chief’s evil twin brother who was separated from him at birthband also became a Spartan but fell into a coma during the events or halo1-3 and recently woke up and swore revenge on the chief for no real reason at all other than boredom
His name: Harpo
I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say it will be the prophets in old form before they were devolved by the forerunners just like the humans were. Of course, the prophets weren’t as feeble as they are now.
Sorry, it’s been a long day of exams…
I think the ancient evil will be…
Our mothers!!!
