In the launch trailer at the first Halsey says to Locke, " Spartan Locke, I have spent enough years with ONI to know the truth, once this is over after all we have done they will order you to kill us both." Ok so who is “us both?” Halsey and Locke? Thats what first came to mind but that does not make sense, personally I am thinking Halsey and Chief pending some kind of reunion with those 2. What do you guys think?
I think she’s just aware of how shady oni is and she knows once lockes mission is done, they won’t want lose ends. we have already seen oni lie saying “the official story is that the master chief is dead” meaning to the public eye he’s dead but we know better than that so they sent someone to hunt him down. which isn’t going to work out either. you can’t capture the chief!
Basically, Halsey knows that herself and MC will most likely end up dead so ONI can continue being shady boyos and girlos and she’s telling Locke to guide his hand once the order comes down.
