It seems halo reach, a 7 year old game, has its challenges still up to date. I’m just really curious, is there like a person at 343 who just puts random stuff in, is there a long list of challenges already made, or is an algorithm that creates random challenges?
Its automated by the games servers. There is currently no one controlling it
very glad that the challenges are automated, can’t be said about halo spartan assault though, been out for around 5 years and the challenges are not updating, this sadly makes some achievements unobtainable.
I believe it’s an Algorithm that Updates based on Overall Gameplay… Kinda to Encourage players to Mix it Up every NOW AND THEN at least… Lol
Probably just a cycle

“Extra Credit” which is to “Complete 75 mission specific challenges” and “A for effort” which is to “Complete all Operation F mission challenges”
Well in reality, if you just want to 100% a single Spartan Assault game such as the Xbox One Version you can finish definitely be able to finish all assault ops and get the achievements, however if you want to completely 100% all other versions Spartan Assault like 360,Windows 8 and Windows phone, you are out of luck because all the SA games is synced, which means sharing the same Assault ops progress, if you have all 75 assault ops completed in one version of the game then the only way to get “Extra Credit” again in the other version is to complete a daily challenge, however since the daily challenges are not being updated, you are unable to finish every version of the game.
There are several discussions on this topic on achievement hunting websites like TrueAchievements.com
Hope this helps
