Who cares if you can't notice it in game?

So… arm and knee reqs?

See, i liked the reach armor system indeed. It was solid, you could choose wihat to spend your credits on, but one thing that really grinded my gears is the -Yoink- level requirement.for each set of gearpiece. I knew from “Recruit” level what i wanted to wear and yet they forced me to play loads before i could unlock it. And i still havent to this day unlocked the helmet i want even though i got the credits.

So for us, willing to sacrifice some dollars for whatever in game, they could make Halo:6 with a similar armor system to Halo:Reach and instead of goldpacks/silvers etc you buy credits for your dollars and EVERYTHING is unlocked at “Recruit” level. Which means if i really really want that Mark Vi helmet i can start grinding for it instantly or cough up the dollars to buy it. Diffrent prices for diffrent versions, etc mythic much more expensive.

Hopefully this made some sense, i recently woke up and English aint my first language.

agreed but also EXPAND on it 343 don’t give us ugly recolors of the same helmet thats what ticks me off the most where they COULD HAVE did what reach did with helmets but instead they took the lazy route and added a neon stripe to a helmet boom new helmet i have a few words about that thought NO IT DOESNT IT JUST MAKES IT CLASH WITH THE BODY IF IT ISNT THAT TYPE. at least reach and halo 3 didnt have color/armor clashing

Yeah, but it was important for machinima’s like Red vs Blue who are now forced to continue their stuff on older games like Halo 4 because Halo 5 doesn’t have full customization, then in MCC, which would have been a blast to see RvsB in, they removed all that and made everything into armor sets for every game, people say its not important, but its important to these guys and they’ve been screwed big time, luckily they have other projects to keep afloat like RWBY or Slow-Mo Guys and all that.

so what your saying is that your impatient dude there is no excuse for you not having the armor by this point unless it includes the haunted helmet which just means that you aren’t dedicated enough to get it and your part of the problem with pointless microtransactions oh i don’t want to spend time EARNING MY STUFF MIGHT AS WELL TAKE THE LAZY ROUTE AND USE A PAY TO WIN/UNLOCK SYSTEM. I really don’t believe that you were dedicated enough to earn the helmet if its the haunted helmet all you needed to do is hit the cap for four months.

Just keep it the same with armor effects and I’ll be happy

which is why i don’t get why people want it on mcc because they are going to do that to the customization which means default visors and no armor effects the only reason i see people want it on the mcc is so the can use the haunted helmet(NO IT SHOULD BE EARNED) Because they are too lazy to try and hit the cap everyday.

OP

You do realise that talk like this is only going to encourage 343 to break down 2 req items into 8 to sell more micro transactions? Which would add a ridiculous number of items and be difficult to organise and sort anyway; more so than what it is. Even counting duplicates theres still a lot more armor than was ever in Halo 3 or Reach and I’d rather not encourage or enable an expansion of the req system so that I need over eight pieces to get a single set of armor. So unless you;re being very niave and assume that an unlock will unlock all the sparklies and slots for the armor I don’t want to see that happen. Theres already too many REQ items without multiplying it by 10.

Also, what are you talking about? Reach had terrible customisation. Most of the undersuit and armor which made up the bulk of the armor was not customisable. Apart from Georges chest armor, the chest piece was really just the same Noble 6 one with a few sparklies on it. So really all you could change out was your helmet, shoulders, knees and wrists. Which again, apart from Commando ones were all pretty small and minor. The thing that makes the most difference is the helmet and thats also true of Halo 5. But generally speaking, apart from the helmet its really just variations of Noble 6’s armor, oh and you can put a headcam on your helmet. Yay.

Halo 6 - “Yeah we heard all of the fans asking for more armour customisation. So guess what! Now we have REQ’s for all the sparklies and customisation stuff you could ever want.”

I feel like I’m the only one who dislikes the Reach customization and really like the Halo 5 customization.

Just shoulder Reqs

Put the armor that you like on, don’t worry about other people notice it. When I see othe people’s armor in game, I don’t care about it and don’t even try to notice it, so it really doesn’t matter.

Well, problem begin the req-system is, that when you get from the beginning of playing what u want, you will not grind so hard - either buy for cash req packs. Personally I buy for about 550€ Gold Packs\Special DLC like HCS Pack.

So yeah you realm have to play long in Reach specially for ya’ favorite armor etc. but in a time of 3 months you can be Field Marshall in Reach. I had pre ordered Reach so I got my favorite, limited Recon helmet. Than I just wait for muscular looking ODST shoulders and Juns armor and got honored with blue flames while I defeated with my team Bungie on Bungie Day  short form:

a mixture of Reach and Halo 3 is the future of Halo.

I do miss Reach’s armor system, it was my favorite, but there is “variety” in Halo 5, there’s like 200 armor sets. I would like to see more specific and detailed customization like in Reach, but I think that in terms of volume, there’s enough armor in Halo 5

You make it sound like that wouldn’t be amazing…

halo 3 was the worst halo out of those in my opinion sure i know a lot of people loved it but i never did halo games for me didn’t get good until reach

Should I break down the different systems? I’m going to break down the different systems.Halo 3: Helmet, left & right shoulders, chest. emblem (they showed up on the armor so why the hell not)

Ah yes, Halo 5 and Halo 3. Halo 5 lacks the ability to change the shoulders while Halo 3 lacks the ability to change visor colors. With all this knowledge the customization of the armor for future Halo games should be rather simple to identify now.

All we did was add one more option to separate the left and right shoulders! We don’t need to change our forearms or our knees. And we most certainly don’t need a damn bag on our legs or an apple watch on our wrist. We just need the five options listed above to give us more than enough freedom to enjoy the eighty or so armor sets in Halo 5 + the other hundred skins.

> Instead of responding to it in a five month old thread I thought I’d just start a new one.
> I disagree with the premise that just because someone may not notice, in-game, all the armor customization’s that we had available in Reach, that we should not expect that variety, or even want it, in Halo 5. A big thing for me, and I am sure for others, was/is looking at other player’s armor in the lobby. We can see each other’s idea of what we like, and what we have accomplished. Yes, I was one of those with the thigh bag and fancy wrist watch. I wore them with pride.
> Now there really isn’t anything equivalent to that. The lack of variety is just disappointing, and the belief that there is enough variety, or what we have now is better than we’ve ever had is just wrong, in my opinion.

Lol

It’s just a pain to try and unlock everything but here we are how many months later since release and I still play a lot to try and unlock everything.

Reach wore it better than any other halo

I really don’t think it matters anymore because we’re all going for Achilles anyway ;p
