So, who can’t wait for when McFarlane makes their Halo 5 figures (and possibly NECA’s).

50/50 on it. The figures just seem to get a little iffy after a while, the only one I really liked from the Halo 4 branded ones was the Didact.

Do they still suck? I tried asking people and they never could tell me.
Referring to how they fell apart like legos.

Actually, that was way back during Halo 3-Reach Series 1. It hasn’t been like that since Reach Series 2. IMO, Halo 4 MC figure is like a brick.

Funny you should mention that…R.I.P Carter…
If I were you, I would not get my hopes up. They have only announced a whopping two figures for this entire year. They do not give a -Yoink!- about Halo anymore.
Honestly, McFarlane’s Halo Figures are kinda lame since Halo 3 in my opinion. Take the Halo 4 Master Chief Figure for example. It literally looks like the in game model, not that the model was a problem, but the textures were. It looks like he wanted to purposely copy the low res textures onto the figure. That and its really clunky to pose, along with a majority of the figures in the Halo 4 Line Up. Like one of the people above me had said, the only one I have a mutual respect for is the Didact, I also enjoy the Cryo Pod/Chief Bundle. Hes a decent size, and because of that size there is more room for detail, I feel as if alot of the McFarlane figures are to small. This is why I collect the Halo Kai Arts Figures. I feel as if they are worth the extra cash.
Anyone is entitled to liking McFarlane, I just don’t really have an appreciation for his Figurine work due to the lack of pose-ability and paint detail. I do however, LOVE his Statue Work. Regardless, this is only my opinion. I’m not judging any ones love for his work, I would still go to my friends how and be impressed if he/she had the whole line up.

So, you make a simple and quick-to-judge assumption to the fact that BECAUSE their are only two models releasing this year that they could care less about Halo? I beg an entire bowl full of ‘to-differ’ because you’ve clearly be mis-informed.
Halo 5 is set for release next year. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is set to release at the end of this year and I can bet you $500.00 (Obviously I’m not actually going to) that McFarlane Toys have no information on an Agent Locke, Arbiter, Kelly, Fred, Linda or even a Halo 5 Chief Model. This would hinder the ability to create said Halo 5 Toys. Until more is released, like Trailer… or heck… the Game Itself. These Halo 5 Toys will not be releasing. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is honestly pretty redundant in itself cause they’d just be remaking old toys.
McFarlane isn’t done with Halo. Halo makes them ALOT of money and no company is going to turn down the ability to Mass Produce Halo Figures/Statues if it makes them Money. Halo is Iconic, and any company ABLE to get their hands on it will profit from it.
Point being… and uh not to be rude and I’m really trying my best here… but don’t post if you don’t know your stuff… or at least don’t post with an assumption.

> I did not make a simple and quick-to-judge assumption. Previously, a single line could get 3-4 series in a single year. Last year we were supposed to get Halo 4 Series 2 around March and Series 3 around July. Series 2 was pushed to the Fall of last year and Series 3 is non-existent. Two figures is nothing.

To be honest, I don’t think Tod McFarlane liked the Halo 4 armor either.
The only toys I’d care about would be die-cast ship models and those haven’t been made for Halo. You have no idea how irritated I am at Star Wars and Star Trek discontinuing or outright not having die-cast models respectively.
My favorite ones were the Grunts from the Halo 3 series, the Reach grunts were too big and I didn’t like how the back piece and mask fits. The Halo 4 Grunt is alright, I have the orange/basic one.
WolfieBoy. I understand where your coming from, but I DOUBT the line is dead. We simply don’t have much to go off of right now other then Halo 4, and no company will deny money. That and he said he LOVES make Halo Figures and Statues when he made the Halo 4 Chief Statue. I just don’t like assumptions man. I feel they create conflict, it’d be easier to state that you, among others, feel that Halo Toys are dead for the moment, instead of saying that someone is done with them when you have no idea what is going on under the table. You also have to think how badly the McFarlane Toys impacted Halo 4’s Development. The Leaks and stuff really didn’t help build up the anticipation for E3’s Promethean announcement.

I am just not trying to get my hopes up and be crushed later. I know Halo 4 is the only thing to go off right now, and it does not look good. I would by no means expect Halo 5 figures this early. We should be getting Halo 4 figures right now, and we are not. This is why I have little hope left. The line may not completely die, but it could be very limited. I liked that in previous lines you got many types of figures. Main characters, minor characters and characters to army build. I fear we may not get that with Halo 5 or any other future title.

Okay, but to be fair, Halo: Reach had a whopping six series in its line, spanning an almost two-year span. We were still getting Halo: Reach figures just months before Halo 4 launched. Also historically, the Halo 3 line had eight series that also ended up including miscellaneous Halo 2 and Halo Wars figures. These figures included many various multiplayer Spartan models and different classes of enemies - almost all of the different ranks of Sangheili saw plastic in the Halo: Reach McFarlane line.
For the Halo 4 line, a whole two series? That doesn’t seem dire to you, historically speaking? We got one Grunt rank, one Jackal rank, two Elite ranks, one Crawler type, a very cheap and badly-done Watcher, and one Knight type. Sure, that covers all of the different enemy species in the game (except the Hunters), but the detail McFarlane used to do with different ranks of the enemies is just gone. I mean, sure, we got two awesome statues in the Halo 4 era, as well as a completely amazing Didact figure. But why have there only been two series of the normal figures in two years? What happened to releasing many different ranks of Elites and Grunts? Why was series three canceled? Why didn’t we ever get any of the other major Halo 4 characters, like Commander Palmer, the Librarian, the Spartans of Fireteam Majestic, or Roland? Why did Walmart and Target completely stop selling Halo McFarlane toys? Something just doesn’t add up there.
Addendum: You mentioned that a Halo 2: Anniversary line would be redundant, as they would just be re-releasing old figures. Well, that’s not entirely true. I want to remind you that the original Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary got its own line with three series of figures spanning the entirety of the Halo game saga, even including figures from Halo Legends. And these figures were, for the most part, not just re-released old figures - they were updated in the Halo: Reach scale, given new paint detail, and I think many of them featured superior articulation to their older counterparts. My only point in saying all this is that there is a precedent for a “retro” line. They are just, for some reason, not doing one. And that is completely worth noting when they also failed to finish the Halo 4 line, which was dropped from Walmart and Target shelves.

Yeah but, Kai Art’s Halo figures look like anime characters with horribly inaccurate helmets sometimes (Take Master Chief’s dwarf looking head) compare to Mcfarlane’s perfect sculpts (Yes, they do get the files to work with but still, all the better reason to buy these!)
I still think, despite the poorer articulation present in Gen2 Halo armor, these figures are the best bang for your Halo buck out there. They’ve only gotten better in my opinion after Halo 3’s line. Keep in mind, I’m sure they wanted to have high waist articulation but 343’s armor design change is a lot more… difficult… to work with around the groin compared to the classic Halo 1-3+Reach designs. Just a thought to chew on.
Paint wise, I wouldn’t mind seeing metallic figures like the Kai Arts are, but matte and the decal work on some spartans are impressive. Check out the Halo 5 Locke and Halo Reach Carter/ Emile. You can’t beat that for 15 bucks
They are now game accurate cause 343 gives them the game models but the problem with that is that it tremendously limits articulation.
The leg articulation for the Halo figs now is complete crap. Is the same as TMNT figs from the 90s, they are basically small statues.
And for H5 they seem to have gone all Spartans. Havent see one figure for any enemy.
i miss the old joyride toys
Even though I’ve bought some, I’d prefer Figma making Halo figures
