In Halo4 its been said that there was an ancient evil now what can that evil be there have been opinions, pictures, and comments in waypoint but really no proof on exactly who they are so I brang it down to options when it comes to the ancient evil it could either be:
-Humans
-Forunners
-Precursorers
-Ancient species
-Unknown species
But further more its something thats been alive for a long period of time longer than the Chief Post down some comments on what you think and who or what can it be my guess is Human but thats just an opinion
(NOTE: I was refering to the ancient evil not the enemy but if you wish to inform us about the enemy thats cool too)
Well, it’s almost a given that the Covenant species (Grunts, Brutes, Jackals etc.) will make a comeback, but I think that this ancient evil is likely someone hijacking some more Forerunner/Precursor technology.
> I think it’s going to be Chief vs Everyone Else but that’s just me.
Yah, I thought of this as a possibility to. Chief snaps and decides he doesn’t like anyone. He goes on a Complete Rampage and decides he is the only righteous person in the whole Universe.
Proably the speices that released the flood from Installation 05 and the vessel that was found on Installation 04 by the monitor, that one they’ve been hinting at
I think chief will have to likely rely on himself since the soldiers and basicaly i quote the covenant believe the war is still going on and they dont know about the so-call MasterChief and they probably think hes a great danger but either way The Chief is and always be A HERO
Forerunners
Precursors
First Humanity
Sentinels
Flood
New Faction
Prophets
Loyalists
UNSC
Insurrectionists
Separatists
The Timeless One
Mendicant Bias
Offensive Bias
The Didact
Cortana
Thel Vadam
Some of these are near-certain, others would only happen after certain plot choices, but I’m fairly sure this is an exhaustive list. Let me know if I’ve missed anything.

lol you still like Bungie after they made one bad game and we all hate them because they made one bad game lolololol
JK, I <3 Bungie too.
I think the enemy will be either the Didact/Bornstellar(100,000 years can change a dude) as hinted in the tenth CEA terminal, The Timeless One, or something new.
> Why you guys continue to take an isolated, crazy 343 Guilty Spark’s words about a pissed off Didact at face value eludes me.
He was isolated and crazy for 100,000 years, but then when the humans came, he wasn’t lonely or crazy anymore, and I’m sure that the Didact symbol flashing in red totally doesn’t mean anything.
And so Spark can’t be wrong? The Terminals, sans Keyes, is from HIS perspective and he has been removed from the galaxy and Forerunners for 100,000 years. Of course he would be pissed that his ring was under siege, that is part of his protocol. Of course he would want the Didact and the Prometheans to kick -Yoink-, his ring is under attack.

They would just make him say that for no reason.
That line is half BS, I’ll admit. He wasn’t lonely, but he was still crazy.
After all the Forerunners did, it makes zero sense for them to be all genocidal against humanity all of the sudden. Spark is crazy and he even admits it.

I’m not saying that the Didact is for sure the enemy, but 100,000 years can change someone, you saw what happened to Spark.
