I swear half the players in this game think it is a good idea to drive a hog into a group of enemies they know have power weapons and complain when the gunner is only able to kill one or is sniped before the whole vehicle explodes.
Like seriously driving head first into the enemy is a bad idea, I if you want to go splatter someone grab a ghost not the hog.
Not sure how much you can do about that. I’m always iffy about getting into hogs because so many people like getting it into their heads to go where they’ll obviously be destroyed or are too scared to commit into something and end up wasting a lot of time.
Or you get gunners who are horrible at prioritizing targets.
This is extremely frustrating for sure! I literally can’t stand when my teammates do this to me. Such a waste of a push.
I feel the same as a driver when I play with Randoms. Been the driver/pilot in every Halo game. You have no idea how many times I’ve had gunners in this game that cant finish of a shield-less spartan out in the open.
This is why my brother is always the driver and I’m the gunner. Hold the shoot trigger and go to town.
This is why it feels so good to find a strong pilot/driver or gunner to support you.
don’t get me started on gunners like that had one trying to counter snipe a sniper as someone was chasing us with a sword. he got stabbed.
Yup I’m usually the one sniping but I go for the driver. Than the gunner.
It doesn’t matter in Infinite. The weapon balance is so wack that you can put a couple of Sniper shots in the Hog and it explodes, killing both.
Istg, why on earth is the Sniper better at destroying vehicles than the Skewer.
Yup. Drivers need to make sure the gunner can get an angle. But they drive right in the middle of a group and don’t remember that the gun’s angle doesn’t go lower than 80 degrees.

Used to be I was a designated driver-only but when I actually have a competent driver, I can top the board with that gun. But my gunners… Almost always suck, lmao. And it’s not like I’m not trying to give them an angle.
Worst part though, is when I set up my hog and hop in the turret to defend… and some bozo thinks I’m waiting for a driver.

The lack of decent vehicle operators has made me take it upon myself to be the best damn driver I can be. I’m like Baby Driver in Big Team CTF.
They games physics are still completely out of Wack too,
Vehicles don’t really feel very good to drive.
You can’t do a flying Warthog tumble and splatter people accidently anymore,
because the Warthog doesn’t “Roll” like it use too,
The moment it flips it looses all its momentum.
Yeah this is my general experience with randoms in all the games. So annoying.
Yeah, I’m low-key about to hang up my gunner cap for good. Jump on a hog and MFs either drive off a cliff, flip the on the first turn or drive straight at a tank. F-ing sick of it. My buddy’s cool, be they ain’t always there.

There should be a drivers tutorial where you have to unlock the license to drive a warthog. If you dont complete the tutorial, then you cant drive a warthog. Problem solved.
