Personally I would love to have the SMG back, its my all time favorite weapon in Halo and Halo 2 was the only game to have it, alongside that Halo 2 was the best halo in my opinion.
EDIT: I forget completely about Halo 3 and ODST just because I didn’t play them for as long as I did Halo 2, sorry.

Halo 1 didn’t have the SMG.
Mine would be the Plasma Rifle, specifically tuned to behave like Halo 1’s. It was such a beast back then. And has been my favourite weapon in the game for a long time, even if it’s been basically useless since Halo 2.
Pretty much all the weapons I’d want would be useless (I too want the SMG, but with no double weapon holding, it’s kind of redundant).

I don’t really care if any of them come back. Although I have heard rumor of the Tornado Gun in Halo 4. (But don’t tell anyone.)

Grenade launcher! It was a really cool weapon. If I had to chose one that’s not on the poll, focus rifle. It was a decent weapon, even though it did’nt quite fit the roll of a sniper.

Really miss my grenade launcher. Liked my bouncy EMP machine of death. But I’m willing to give sticky detonator a chance. Skeptical, but willing.
Would also rather have had brute shot than concussion rifle.
Definitely the grenade launcher. There is nothing as satisfying as being on the top of Spire and EMPing a falcon that is circling and watching it fall out of the sky.
