Forgive the spelling I will probably get the ultimate edition
At this point none, since the lack of news, short beta period and many issues brought up by new and veteran players alike has given me little confidence in how Halo War 2 is shaping, which will be either big disappointment in eight months or remain as obscure as the first Halo Wars at best.
I also have this nagging feeling that 343 industries and Creative Assembly don’t really like Halo as an RTS. I don’t get a sense of actual passion behind it from them.
Halo Wars 1 was treated as the red headed step child in the series and key Bungie staff at the time had disdain for a Halo RTS, I wonder if that is still the same sentiment today among 343 Industries and CA.
I’m starting to think that the dream of a “Star Craft” or the RTS genre in that style will never bloom on consoles like First Person Shooters did, because there is simply not enough investment or commitment.
If my post is somehow offensive to the devs and publishers that’s because of the lack of two way communications between the dev/publisher and gaming community in this regards.
When people have no information or reasonable regular feedback, we assume the worst.
Ultimate Edition for sure.
It includes the season pass and a remastered version of the first Halo Wars for only $20 more.
Plus I’m a sucker for getting the “legendary editions” of Halo games. I love getting the exclusive content that comes with them.
I’m disturbed that there are exclusive campaign missions, expensive dlc, and an entire exclusive campaign (HW1 remastered) available only with the big edition.
I really hoped Halo was past this stuff and would take the high road for it’s fan base. I’m legitimately disheartened by all of this.
I can’t even vote. Right now the game doesn’t feel $80 fun. I only played one match in the beta I need to try more marches.
