Which title did you start with? And current pop.?

Ok, people don’t get offended, but sometimes I feel like most of the people on Halo Waypoint started with the game H4 or H5, just because for what ever reason it is their username for some reason gives me an insight that they started playing Halo on H4. I dunno, lol. But i’ve got a question for all Halo players, what Halo title did you start with? And is there an accurate source to track current population of Halo players across all games? I’ve started playing Halo when I got Halo:CE when I was 5 years old, plus I think the population is 300,000-500,000 (or much lower)

I played the OG Halo on the OG Xbox but only ever played the campaigns up until Halo 4 where I started doing more multiplayer online gaming.

But I played Halo:CE when we didn’t have internet. But I when I bought Xbox Live back in '11, I played my first match of Halo on Halo 3 when the population was at around 120,000 people.

I played first on Halo 3. Never did any MP though till I tried a bit in Halo 4, didn’t do a bunch because I sucked and didn’t have anyone to play with. So didn’t really get into Halo MP until 5.

I played in 2001 with Combat Evolved. I was in 9th grade(28 years old now). We system linked xbox’s together on a few occasions and even connected to an internet set up on a university campus to play 16 players online. The very first Halo -Yoink!- was invented that day. Did everything in every campaign and played a lot of multiplayer in each. No Halo Wars but I did youtube the cutscenes to get the bit of story involved in the universe.

I just started on the campaigns a couple years ago beginning with Combat Evolved Anniversary on the 360, and then I just got into multiplayer less than 2 months ago (believe it or not) with Halo 5.

I started forever ago with Halo CE. My uncle gave it to me when I got my OG xbox. Then I got Halo 2 and played that to death. Then my buddy got one of the first 360’s so we played the hell out of halo 3 and reach. And then when I got my own systems I got Halo 4, MCC, and Now Halo 5. Oh and of course how can i forget ODST and Wars.

My first was H3 ODST, I own it that much since it introduced me to Halo.

Started on Halo Combat Evolved. And played every single one along the way.

Started with Halo 2 with a friend through splitscreen. I absolutely fell in love with Halo after playing it. Didn’t get my own xbox until a few months after Halo 4 came out. Current pop is probably 0 since the servers have been shut down. Since technically Halo 4 was my first owned halo game, the population is probably less than 10k, last time I checked ( a few months ago) the pop was at 6k.

Halo 3 offline, then decided to make a Xbox live profile during Halo Reach

Started with Halo CE and was 22 when it came out. We only did split screen multiplayer back then; but the real highlight for me was the co-op campaign, got some great memories of runs on the Control Room, and Two Betrayals missions. We always played it back then like it was mandatory to kill every single enemy! I even questioned some of the par times when the Anniversary edition came out, not thinking about the fact that you don’t actually have to kill everything.

Since then have owned and played them all. Halo 2 multiplayer stands out because it was the beginning of online multiplayer for me, but by far was my least favorite campaign. Halo 3 was great all around, it has my favorite campaign and the multiplayer was also my favorite (mostly because at the time we had a large group of friends who often played together). Odst added a great idea when it came to the way the campaign played and had some of the best music in my opinion. It also introduced firefight. Halo Reach brought Firefight to a new level, a personal favorite game mode for me and the best all around game of the series to date. Had a great campaign (3rd favorite), and a good multiplayer (I’m not a sprint hater), but most importantly the customization was awesome. Being able to play and level up however you liked was truly the best part, no matter if you played campaign, firefight or multiplayer you earned both experience and credits. Plus ALL of the game modes had separate commendations which added to the replay-a-bility of those game modes. Theater mode recorded campaign and firefight levels and wasn’t limited to just multiplayer.

We srarted from the bottom now we’re here.

On these forums anyone can claim they have started from the very beginning. It is a useless gauge of anyone’s opinion here. Started Halo CE in 2001 or maybe early 2002 I don’t recall. Played Halo 2 online, but I was mostly interested in the campaign. Then really got into the series and the forums with Halo 3 back on bungie.net. I don’t think it matters when someone entered the franchise, Halo CE or Halo 5, at the end of the day we all want to play some halo.

Halo: Combat Evolved. 4p splitscreen, and legendary co-op all throughout. Blood gulch whaaaaaaat, warthog derbies… played through every game since, beating campaign on at least Heroic, missing finishing legendary campaign on a couple. Online Multiplayer since Halo 2. Didn’t get MCC, but Guardians is the biggest draw for me for MP now. I love the Battlefield franchise, so Warzone is a perfect fit. Add in a full fireteam of 12/12 all communicating and it doesn’t get much better for me.

Halo 2 back in 2005.

I had played CE first with my cousin but I absolutely hated the experience because he kept spawn-betraying me in the campaign so I couldn’t really enjoy playing the game.

Halo 2. I never got a chance to experience the multiplayer until 3. I thought I’d get a second chance with the MCC but that didn’t pan out.

Well, I WILL SAY VERY TRUTHFULLY that I started from CE when I was 5 or 6, I played the demo of Ce from a Xbox arcade demo disk that came with some game, contained like Timesplitters, and Halo, and some other games. After I played the game the first few hours, fell in love with the game, and I was dying to know if the makers would make more, played every Halo game to date (excuse me, i’m excluding the mobile titles, only played the console titles.) Waiting to get MCC, but those search times though.

Started with Halo 4 a few months after launch when I was about 12. I later bought H3 and Reach, then got an Xbox One and MCC so I could play them all.

Speaking of population, I just dreamed of Halo 3 boosting up to 659,000 :3 my dreams like to kill me.
