Which spartan model give you the real Spartan feel in multiplayer?
close tie between halo 2 and 2.5 and 3…halo 3
CE’s classic model all the way!
Halo CE, with Reach as a close second; I like my MJOLNIR all angular and tank-like. I put CE before Reach because I still prefer to imagine the S-IIs in the novels as I did before Halo 3 - that is, all of them wearing identical HCE-style armor.
That aside, since armor customization is a thing, I like the practical look of most of Reach’s customization options but detest the cartoony and outlandish direction 4 and 5 have taken.
I’d have to say 5. Not overly skinny like in 4, not overly flabby like in reach, but appears fit and strong.
And the female models got da good b00ty
Well… all of them. Granted, there are a number of more abstract armour sets in 3, Reach, and 4 that I’m iffy about, but they all give you “the real Spartan feel” - whatever that is. You don’t even see your armour 99% of the time, the “Spartan feel” is conveyed through the gameplay and game mechanics…

i totally forgot about the b00ty! hahaha
I always felt like Reach had the best, 343s versions feel to much like cartoons to me
It’s hard to beat Reach’s convincingly functional style.
The one from Halo Reach looks the best. dark, gritty and used armors.
The rest looks too clean and colorfull
Reach looked amazing.
i think that halo 5 have a lot of potential, Lockes armor is fantastic, And the newer spartan IV armor are looking really nice. Change the under armor back to black.
Can never beat Reach’s art direction at all, so I’m going with that one.

Actually you can, just make.things not look overly watered down and bland looking. Oh, and don’t make every helmet a round orb. Let’s not forget how the elites’ heads looked flat with while for teeth and the generals having Promethean armor.
Halo Reach had battle scarred armor, which makes for the realism of war
HCE FTW! (Us PC bums couldn’t customize our armor).
Halo wars spartan armour!
Reach’s customization was the best by far.

You call it watered down and bland, I call it gritty and gloomy, just the way I like it.
Every helmet is a round orb? The commando, JFO, Gungnir, mark vi, mark v, EOD, CQC, Scout, ODST, and military police helmets would all like to have a word with you. Besides, they are more functional and simple looking than Halo 4/5’s overly complicated monstrosities.
The Reach sangheili are generally regarded by the sangheili community to have the best anatomy in the series’s, easily competing with 2. And if Reach came out first, wouldn’t that mean that the Prometheans were ripping off the general armor, not the other way around?
