Think about looks, balance, performance, etc. when choosing.
Reach may be the only time in the Halo series where the Shotgun actually looked like a weapon.
It looked like a lumpy water gun in every other game. A big, bulbous tumour on top of the barrel for no reason, so you had no visual idea of where the shot would go.

I agree with you. The Reach shotgun looks very menacing… the others had that small tube at the end that (like you said) made it look like it shot water.

Even little touches like the red lights make it feel more like a hungry vehicle of destruction.
Green and blue… well, they make me feel like everything is going to be okay. Which is fine for a gun that shoots candy and good feelings, but perhaps isn’t appropriate for close-quarters combat.
I think annuversary hit tge spot. A nice chrome finished m45 with the m90’ stopping power
Preferable something new, but also menacing like Reach’s/CEA’s was.

What I want - Increase the range & damage slightly, decrease spread slightly, and massively reduce the auto-aim / aim-magnetism.
And the same goes for all other cqb weapons. Damage output should increase but the skill necessary to achieve success should be much higher.

I want it to be orange or green.
I want it so that that near by hits are always an instant kill
I want it to have the same ammo capacity and reload rate as in CE
Nothing more after that. Not really picky

You don’t think AR’ing in H3 was hard enough at close-range?
Mauler with a stock and extended barrel, kinda like a Striker. Just cuz.
i want the CE stats with a new skin. the shotgun sould have a bigger kill range then the sword.
I’d be perfectly fine with the Reach shotgun, really fit the bill IMO.
Differences are minute and insignificant. I really couldn’t care less between the options.
I’d like to see something new and more “realistic”, something that says “if you’ll get close to me, I’ll paint that body with you”. Mean, evil, powerful, it should be feared and the design should reflect it 
Halo 3 or Reach, it doesn’t matter to me, just so long as it isn’t the Halo CE shotgun I’m Happy.
