Personally i love halo 2s, it allows you to get right back into battle if you were able to get away. Reachs was around 2 seconds longer to recharge, and even longer to fill up the bar (i think).
Anyways, i was wondering if everyone would want faster recharging shields, especially since sprint is gonna be in the game (we need to discourage chasing, imo)

Good point, I think should be like 2s, so when people chase you out whilst you both sprinting, your shields should be able to come back fairly quickly, but that may educe run away noobs again. So to stop that, I think that your shields should take longer to come back when you sprint and come back really fast if you’re not.
I completely agree. I like the H2 recharge rate also. Preferably I want higher damage with weapons combined with fast shield recharge rates to give Halo it fast paced feel back.

Yea they need fast kill times too. IMO faster than Halo 2, but i dont think i could get many to agree with me.

Agreed. Especially if sprint is making a return, faster kill times are needed to deal with faster players. That and the system is tried and true with classic Halo, so I really don’t see how it could go seriously wrong. So long as kill times aren’t too fast, preferably somewhere in the H2-H3 range, it should run smoothly.
in halo 1 you can kill someone in less then a second with the magnum but at the same time you still felt like you had a ton of health. i just hope you can kill ppl at least as fast as halo 2 br

Heh i wish, sprint is dumb. Maybe they will make sprint so terrible, no one will use it? And anyone who does is almost a free kill. That would be ironic.

Yea i really hope theres alot of health, right now in reach there seems to be a large imbalance of shields and health. A gernade can take out a full shield with no damage to health, but if your 80% shields and full health it will kill you.

Well we know it’s not going to happen, so rather than berrying are heads in the sand and praying for it to go away, we should actually find ways to make it more usable and balanced.
I figured people would want a slower recharge rate, because it will leave more vulnerable to death since the time charge is longer, which make kills go by a bit faster. But all that does is also keep people in hiding longer… idk.
It being faster (shield charge) sounds fine and the better way to go. It means your ready for the fight quicker …

Personally I like a lower recharge rate because it gives Health a purpose. But the average “pro” player doesn’t want to take it into consideration.
