I’m guessing this has already been discussed but I’ve searched the first few forum pages and used the search function and cannot find a topic on it. Please post a link to an existing one if there is and feel free to lock this duplicate thread, thanks.
I’m just wondering what pre-order skull you’re all going to choose.
I usually get my games from Amazon and they’re offering the “Piñata” skull: Enemies will drop a plasma grenade with every melee.
This sounds pretty good to me.
Do we know which game’s campaign the skulls will feature in or do you get it in all 4 games?
Also, do you think we’ll eventually get access to all the pre-order skulls?
I got the Grunt Funeral skull in Halo CE Anniversary as a pre-order bonus but I don’t think they ever released that afterwards (or did they?)
I’m getting it digitally, so I won’t be pre-ordering. That said, all the skulls are timed exclusives, so we’ll all wind up with them eventually.
I hope they’re in all four campaigns, especially the Bandanna Skull … could you imagine Halo 4’s Incineration Cannon with Infinite Ammo? Or just plowing through High Charity in Halo 2 on Legendary with unlimited Fuel Rod Cannon and Energy Sword?

Or better yet, rushing through the latter act of Halo 3, with nothing but an unlimited ammo Sentinel Beam. Yeah, that’d be pretty scary, considering the Sentinel Beam I find to be an incredible weapon; it’s main drawback being it runs out of battery very quickly.
Or a Halo 4 Needler? Those Covies & Prometheans would just see bright pink death on the battlefield.
lol, you make some good points guys! They sound like fun things to try.
Just to confirm… they’re limited time skulls but will be released to everyone eventually?
I think that’s a great idea - it takes away a bit of the stress and worry about where to pre-order from
> Just to confirm… they’re limited time skulls but will be released to everyone eventually?
That is indeed correct. I would give you the source, except I can’t remember where it came from, I think it was from the Halo Bulletin.
EDIT: Nevermind, here it is!
Probably Best Buy. You also get a map guide for pre-ordering at Best Buy, and that’s not a timed exclusive.
The ShopTo Bonded Pair skull is only exclusive for 30 days, and presuming that other skulls will be exclusive for the same amount of time, that’s not a long wait at all.

Thanks a lot Tyrant, that link was very helpful: “By pre-ordering at one of the above locations, you’ll gain exclusive access to the corresponding Skull, so choose wisely! After a certain period of time, the Skulls will become unlocked for all players.”

That’s great - a month is not too long to wait before getting them all
I am going to pre-order at Gamestop to get Bandanna. It was so much fun in CEA that I want it the extra 30 days early for sure.
All of them together when they’re released for everyone. Seems like retailers in the UK aren’t even offering them.
All of them. Got my hands on every piece of halo 4 preorder dlc. TMCC is easier (and a lot cheaper) compared to that ^^
Since I’m preordering from GameStop, it’s Bandana for me. (I think.)
But I’m still quite peeved at 343i for making Skulls preorder bonuses — even if they’re given to everyone a month after release.
Unlimited ammo and grenades. I’ve already beat all the halo games the hard way. Now I want to be set loose.
I’m going to get none of them, because they all unlock eventually. Instead I’ll pay a few fewer bucks at my local discount game shop…because they’re a local chain they can somehow offer games for under normal retail value. Picked up Halo 4 at midnight on release day for $55 :).

I’ think I’m going to pre-order from amazon.co.uk and they’re offering the Pinata skull.

That’s where I have pre-ordered it is that the skull you get?.
My usual one is eb games.
I pre ordered from amazon so that pinata one I’m guessing. Hey does amazon ship the game to reach your house on the release day?(first time pre-ordering from amazon)

Yeah, here’s a link for you:

I’ve had mixed success with this - usually it reaches you on the day of release but sometimes it arrives a little late.
I found this out by reading people’s 1 star reviews of certain games (which they shouldn’t do as it’s unfair to the game developer - the review of the game itself should just be based on the game, not amazon’s delivery service).

Ahh I see well ill have to rethink wether i want to risk playing the MCC later than everyone else. And I agree that is not the developers fault.
Sadly I won’t be preordering. The MCC might be the game that convinces me to buy an XB1, but it’s no sure thing right now.
If I knew I’d have an XB1 in November, then I’d probably go with the Best Buy offer – the map guide should be pretty nifty!
