I’m trying to make 1to1 remake as I said. I measured everything for the most part with H2A forge. That’s why it’s Stone Town, not original Zanzibar, because I’m unable to measure original map.
The size looks kinda correct to me, I mean when I tried to remake Reflection from Reach in H5, I measured everything too, but the size was a little bit off, like smaller about 10-15% or so, because as some known forger told me, it was a difference between H5 and Reach measurement systems, fov, etc.
At this point, with what the Forge community has been doing. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to ask for every single past Halo map to have a version in Infinite. In fact, even if you don’t ask I think it’ll happen. Heck, we’re not just getting past Halo maps, we’re getting maps from other games. In terms of official maps, I honestly don’t care. As long as 343 fixes the texture bug with forge maps and are willing to eventually put good forge maps in rotation, I’d be satisfied with that.
And whatever maps 343 does make with the official map editor I’ll be happy with too. Not saying they can’t do some of the maps themselves.
Perhaps this is against the spirit of the discussion. IDK, I’m just excited seeing all the map remakes.
Okay, I have no clue how you are sizing everything. I went into custom games on 343 maps just to see how large they really were, and I counted the paces it took me to sprint from one spawn to the other. Most developer 4v4 maps were about 100 paces, more or less. Behemoth was close to 120 paces. Big team maps range from 170 to 200 paces.
Now idk how that will help you making the perfect remake, but it almost seems as the best remakes already done could very well be 1 to 1.5. I would check out which measurements you are using and once you forge a bridge for instance or a walkway, then try sliding and running through it to visualize and feel it. If it feels too small, then raise the measurements u previously made till it feels comfortable in THIS game. Then keep those raised measurements for the rest of the map.
I hope I helped, I also had to extend my maps because it felt too small when I used the paces measurement. Ultimately we can continue to modify our maps.

ones that came first to my mind: blood gulch, ascension, zanzibar, ivory tower, lockout, beaver creek, valhalla, construct, narrows, sandtrap.

No another city map.
All of the classic Covenant maps (because there’s none of them currently in official matchmaking in Halo Infinite), classic BTB Maps like Coagulation, Valhalla, Last Resort, etc. And more classic forerunner environment oriented maps, like Guardian. All of which would preferably be in official matchmaking in classic playlists.
We just currently have too many UNSC bases, camps, etc. And only like 5 combined Forerunner/Banished maps in total out of the 20 currently in Infinite. We need more diversity in the map pool to break the monotony.
